I'm not disagreeing with the fact that we will attract more 'supporters' if we start to do well. My point is that we will not fill a 50-60,000 stadium, especially if we cannot break into the top 5 or 6 in the coming seasons.

By all means expand Molineux to a more realistic 40,000+ and if we become popular in China, then extra revenue may well come from merchandize, etc.

By the way, my son sometimes travels to Molineux from London and meets up with some of the London Wolves fan base.

So, let's just enjoy the ride at present and wait and see if we can become not only an established Premier League side, but one that can win trophies. Some however, seem to want to run before they can walk.

Might make sense to avoid giving out info that might identify your son lest he get's a bunch of stick on account of some of his old man's online behaviour.

As much as Cavaleiro improved last season compared to the season before, I just cant see him getting much game time next season if we have Traore, Costa, Jota, Jiminez and Bonatini all at the club. If something like £16m is on the table for him then I could understand the club taking it. It makes Traore almost a freebee.

Looks like Batth may go, and loans for Hause, Enobakhare and Graham seem close to being finalised. And the club are trying to find loan or permanent moves for Gladon, Zyro, Deslandes, Mason, Ronan, Ofuso-Ayeh, Iorfa and Ebanks Landell.

think Cav has the qualities to succeed in the prem...even if it's only off the bench. I wouldn't want to play against him which for me is a good indicator.

I think the point you are missing Sunshine is that it is all linked, Success, stadium size, finances etc all add up to the whole.

The stadium will take years to build, but it has to be part of the planning now, but I accept we need to be successful on the pitch, but that is our aim.

Trust me lizard when I say my son can take care of himself. No sure what you mean by behaviour, unless having a different opinion to someone else falls into that category.

Of course it's all linked amiga, but it will take years (like you mention with regard to the stadium) to become the success we all want. But there are problems off the pitch and they are in a far away land. If China implements new policies regarding money going overseas, we'll be back to square one.

Just take things one at a time and don't get carried away.

The last two seasons our attacking potential has been best when cav has been on the pitch, even in that alleged 'pee poor' first season it was obvious to me how good he was. 60% of our goals that season came in the 40% of the season he played in, that wasn't a coincidence, he scares the shat out of defenders more than anyone we have.

I would have him over Traore any day of the week, a guy that seems to just run like a nutter with no idea what he is even gonna do compared to Cav who is switched on with those around him.

think you underestimate Traore, Cinci. That ability to run with the ball can unlock ANY team. Pretty sure we have the pace and quality to get men up ahead of him ready to capitalise too so should be all good. Still a place for Cav in our success though...shouldn't be either/or in my view.

Sunshine, you seem stuck in the small club or at least smaller club mentality that we have had to accept for pretty much a 40 years.

That is not Fosuns aim, we are playing with the big boys, if Fosun words hold true, you need to understand we are not the same club we were before Fosun.

posted on 7/8/18

On Traore, I think he will be encouraged to slow down, stay in space with Neves spreading passes to stretch play.

I think he will find he has more space to exploit, and more time to think.

I doubt Nuno will want him collecting the ball in our half, taking on half the opposition before finally being closed down, in fact I'm sure Nuno will want him doing the simple pass, until a clear opening appears.

Yeah agree with the point that it shouldn't have to be an either/or situation Lizard and I do get that Traore is a dangerous player and has age on his side, I am just not sure he will fit our more polished approach though of course I think Tam and Amiga pointed out that perhaps he could be the wing back option which could be interesting or of course he makes me look a right plum for doubting him.

Think we should keep Cav.

Imagine two of Cav, Costa, Traore or Jota coming off the bench after 70 minutes when the opposition is tired.

posted on 7/8/18

We are all aware of Fosun's aim amiga and we all want success. However in the real world, that'll take time and more money.

Our top priced player will be 18m. The big boys go for players worth 3 times as much, so yes, we are a smaller club at the moment, but my hope is, we can progress at a rate that doesn't break the bank, whilst getting players that can establish ourselves in the top flight.

I think most of us would hope that we finish in the top half this season. That's a realistic opinion in my book. If disaster strikes and we're fighting relegation, then crowds will diminish and so will Fosun's interest.

That's the real world we live in.

Let's not get carried away with pay per view etc in China. Right now the most popular teams in China are Manchester United, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Liverpool. That's without the likes of Barcelona, Manchester City, Chelsea and more.

So to think that we are suddenly going to be on their radar is a wee bit naive. As for the Chinese suddenly jumping on a plane and sitting on their bums at Molineux, that's also far fetched. Or maybe that's how we're going to get 50,000 crowds.

C'mon, let's live in the real world and not get into the realms of fantasy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Complete naivety and lack of knowledge here. Wolves have a pay per view channel in China and it has been growing fast in popularity even when we were in the Championship. It’s a ridiculous argument to say because we aren’t as famous around the world as Man Utd we shouldn’t bother with pay per view in the country of our owners.

Wolfie seems to have the naive view that we shouldn’t have invested in the academy, shouldn’t invest in the stadium, shouldn’t explore off field avenues of income that could generate tens of millions of £s but should somehow still get established in the Premier League. Thankfully Shi and Dalrymple have a much clearer view of what it takes to make a club truly established in the top flight and that’s about growing the club in every way and that means increasing the income well beyond just the tv money that every club gets. Accept the average and average is as much as you will ever get

posted on 7/8/18

Wonder how much it would take to generate say 3-5 million a year in China? I know that won't happen overnight but even if that is two years from now then it is worth the effort, money in is money in.

posted on 7/8/18

Sunshine we are at the beginning of something much bigger, of course we are not expecting to compete at the top straight away. but things like the stadium are laying those foundations.

Nobody is saying, we want success now, we are saying build for it now.

Got to say Perton, I knew nothing about this guy so checked him out on youtube.

After doing so I must admit to being underwhelmed, for that sort of money it would be a no from me.

Let's get the record straight Mr know it all Molinuex.

Firstly, the pay per view program was set up for the 2016-17 season and would show 10 of our games during that season. No more, no less. As to whether we still have a deal with LeTV, I can find nothing to say it's still up and running. I've also never stated that we "shouldn't bother" with it. Any money that provides extra income is always welcome. But as a side note, Cardiff also tried that approach when they had a Chinese owner and it was stated at the time that Cardiff would not gain much financially by going by that route.

Secondly, I've never stated that we shouldn't have invested in our Academy. I stated at the time that we should focus more spending on players rather than build a new stadium. As to the Academy, Morgan had to spend money to build our training facilities to comply with FA regulations and it was part of the deal to spend 30m in investments, as he only spent a tenner buying the club. Let's not also forget that combined with the new facilities, he built homes worth 500,000 quid, to help line his pockets.

Never stated that we shouldn't "explore" other avenues of revenue either. These are all your (dare I say it) FAKE NEWS and made up comments you say I've stated, just to suit your agenda.

I'm afraid it's you and some others that are naive, if you think that just because we have owners who are prepaid to spend money, we're suddenly going to conquer the world when it comes to football.

I'm prepared to let things roll along slowly at a pace we can all comprehend and just wait and see how we progress this season before getting into the realms of fantasy.

Sunshine, you need to stop thinking of Fosun as just another owner, people like Morgan had neither the resources or connections to put Wolves on the map.

Fosun is a very different animal, and it is because of that we are moving forward so quickly. and it is important to do so, Fosun realise this, hence the huge investment in all aspects of the club.

This is not the time to think small, think big or go home.

Didn't think much of him either, but reports are saying his one of the hottest properties around.
