Perhaps all the negative comments about his style, negatively and the fact that attendances have dropped despite getting to the play offs have opened the eyes of Stoke.

My brother did that last year, three broken vertebrae and life changing nerve damage (hyper-extended his neck when he hit the deck)

That's made my week.

Could be Stoke are wondering why we aren't more bothered about him leaving.
The fact is the longer it goes on the less likely it is that it will happen because if Stoke wanted to get it done they have the money to get it done.
Also the weaker Rowett's position gets. He's lifted his skirt and Stoke haven't felt him up yet and he must be wondering if they think he might have a dose.

As none of the managers that have been sacked in the past have gone on to bigger & better things, it will be interesting to see if the only one *, who left of his own accord, does anything of note in the future. (* I don't include BC, as he was not a mere mortal). He only has Pulis, Hughes & Lambert, in recent times, to follow at Stoke.
As I initially advocated Rowett and he turned out to be a let-down, I am keeping well out of it this time.
