Be gutted if Simpson gets the job! I’d be 5 months out on my original bet
How many cheeky bets do you make Griff
Yep meds kicking in but internet dying.
I don’t bet more than £5 on a cheeky bet

Igor, I’ve had a cheeky bet last Friday that Cook will be in charge at the start of the season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Have you had another one for when he's sacked, Griff ?
Odds Griff?
Friday, did you know more
40/1 last Friday, 20/1 now
Just interested to see what happens at Sheff Utd with Wilder falling out with the director
Sorry McCabe is the owner not director
Don't worry. He will be a lot more sorry than you Griff
Conversation I didn't think I'd be having a week ago..
according to sky rowett is signing for stoke.it will be announced on Tuesday and derby have accepted their compensation offer
Bye then Gary. Don't let the door hit you on the backside on your way out.
Frustrating that he has jumped ship now things have got a bit more difficult.
Wenger is still available π
Not too bothered myself. I want to see a manager given a few seasons to build the team and I thought that would be Gary. He even said it himself.
I’m not bothered because his team selections were baffling and play was boring.
No View, but if he does go then it’s all bets off for the loanees returning.
Which means that Blackman and Chris Martin is still younger than both Nugent and Jerome are back in with a shout with the new man.
Butters may even be in the frame and Bryson could get a look in again.
Ill get over Rowett going pretty easily. I'm more disappointed in him as it looks like he wants no part of having to balance the books a bit. He knew the job..he knew what would have to happen if there was no promotion. Seems the cash to spend at Stoke is far more attractive for his career than his so called love for Derby.
New Manager....I wish people would stop saying Igor Stimac. His record wherever hes been is abysmal and is nowhere near qualified for this job. I'm very very worried its gonna be Paul Simpson...which in my opinion will be just as bad. Paul Cook for me. Need to get in the real world. Need a manager who knows the lower leagues if we have to address the finances. Hes got 3 promotions at 3 different clubs. Hes ready for a club like Derby.
Spot on Backo.....cook for me as well and he can bring Byrne with him
Will Morris be prepared to pod out some of the Stoke compo though, or will he get someone who is available now, for free ?
Don't care who it is so long as we are trying to play football not just "grinding out results".
When I say I don't care ... I do, obvs, but im not in a position to suggest who would work or not.
I think it's bad and I think Mel is mostly responsible. If we/he thinks GR did a reasonable job with the resources available, he should have been more encouraging and supportive of GR and not dismissive as he was - stating there would be no more funds for incomers - and therefore little hope of success. Of course I can understand that MM is disillusioned that our transfer activities have been poor. And GR must take the responsibility for Hughes having been underused and then undersold. We have frankly been not good at buying or selling players. Hendrick was a good deal that should not have happened. Boy! did we miss him. And Boy didn't we miss Hughes? Curtis Davis was an excellent buy but others were not so good and we still have Martin, Bryson, Butterfield, Blackman on our books. Kesey Palmer on loan and then left warming the bench. What was that about? The damage is all self inflicted I'm afraid.
No sentimental appointments this time round, as Backo said Cook has my vote.

£2m is a drop in the ocean Ang. It will go un-noticed and un-remarked.
Some managers can get excellent results out of the team they inherit. A few tweaks, a new left back and an inspirational manager is what is now needed.
