"We've had to halt testing on NHS Front Line staff while we test about 500 Premier League players, I'm sure the nation will agree this is vital.".
-----
How melodramatic. It had to be "NHS Front Line staff".
You even put F and L in caps. I guess that was for effect.
First of all if were doing 100,000 tests per day, what's wrong if 500 of them are footballers. Were talking 0.5% of people being tested per day, every day. Are footballers some sort of second class citizens who don't deserve testing?
Furthermore, the intention is that demand on testing equipment will have reduced by the time the season resumes. We might not be needing to do 100,000 tests per day in July/August.
Also, who says testing cannot be privately arranged?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As a pensioner aged 71, I would expect to get tested before young supposedly fit 20 year old footballers. I need to get out and about as much as football needs to restart.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And rightfully so Sandy. I wouldn't have it any other way.

The one thing you can’t do is use the current positions as final positions if the season is ended early, Aston Villa would be relegated but they are two polnts from safety with a game in hand, it would be a total nonsense.
I personally think there isn’t a chance that this season will finish so null and void is the only fair thing to do with last seasons finishing positions reinstated.
Obviously this would be harsh on a small number of clubs but life’s not fair and with what’s going on in the world it really doesn’t matter one iota.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's the least fair thing to do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course you would say that
Use current standings is much more unfair than voiding.

Whatever happens someone, somewhere, will be hard done by. If we accept this now then the decisions that we're proposing become a lot easier.
No matter what happens there will be some moral or legal issue. So if this shiiiiiiiiiiit carries on until Feb 2021 then the obvious thing to do is just restart on March 13th or something and carry on but then you have issues with contracts.
If we can get playing by July just play behind closed doors but then there's H&S issues but then when do we start next season?
If it goes to say October or further then my gut says just void it but that's a killer for some clubs, mine included, and then when do we actually start next season anyway?
If we finish as it stands that's a killer for some clubs and then when do we actually start next season anyway?
Fact is the finish is only as relevant as when next season starts really and unless it gets locked off before August then there are about a billion player contract issues.
Working out when next season starts, and therefore the issue is covid, is as relevant as when this gets finished and right now we're not allowed to sit on a fvcking bench outside.
From what I understand there is absolutely going to be a relapse for want of better words, it will mutate and a vaccine will ve as much use as the current flu one. I was reading that when all is done in a couple of years the death rates will be the same everywhere. No politics, countries will just manage their deaths rates differently as it's inevitable and herd immunity is the only answer.

No politics, countries will just manage their deaths rates differently as it's inevitable and herd immunity is the only answer.

herd immunity is the only answer. - no it isnt

Got to say fair play to Tottenham Hotspur, they have melted down all of their trophies to provide the NHS with vital equipment.
London hospitals have thanked them for their new pair of tweezers.

These articles turn into the same arguements from the same people:
Other fans: The season will be voided suck it up Liverpool fans
Liverpool fans: The season is more likely to be called than voided as that's more fair
Other fans: But but but, it will be voided so my team can benefit and our rivals lose out
Liverpool fans: It would be the most unfair way to resolve this.
Other fans: It might be though. It is an option.
Liverpool fans: Perhaps as a very last resort, and even then it's more likely to be called than voided.
Other fans: Liverpool fans only care about a league title when people are dying. Stop posting that the season will probably be completed. Its driving me crazy. I cant stand these Liverpool fans

I fixed this for you as you seem to be having keyboard problems.
