Teams aren't really scared of Liverpool in Europe. Atletico beat them home and away and Barcelona slapped them around at the Nou Camp last season and only lost due to a freak result at Anfield. Real beat them the season before as well. Domestically its a different story, everyone in England is probably scared of Liverpool.

City are a scarier team for the European giants like Real Madrid or Barcelona to face because of Guardiola.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Real Madrid and Barca have regularly beaten City since they’ve been a CL club. Liverpool will always be seen as a bigger threat as they actually have some pedigree in the competition.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not with Guardiola in charge.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The last time Pep reached the Champions League final was 2011.

You think the European giants are scared of City because of a man who hasn't even reached the final in close to a decade?

He's a great manager but let's not pretend his European record is that special. His Barca team were absolutely outstanding but since leaving them he's arguably underachieved in Europe.

I support Liverpool but have no problem saying Man Utd are the biggest club in England.

Wahl thinks clubs are scared of Mourinho in the CL and it’s been even longer since he’s been in a final.

Wahl people underrate City’s fan base when they probably have the most fans worldwide. NYC FC, Melbourne City, Girona, Mumbai City, Atletico Torque, Sichuan Jiuniu and Man City.

That’s like probably a billion fans.

I think most of us are in agreement about Burnley. Nothing against them, a harmless little team that wouldn't say boo to a goose.

But

Really? Aston Villa and Everton above Chelsea and he’s about right?

Wow

He’s talking about over a century Wahl not just the premier league era

Forest aren’t historically a big club, to be honest. Their success in Europe is an aberration. They’ve spent the majority of their history below the top league.

This is where the European Cup gives a false perception of size for some clubs.

Arsenal are a much, much bigger club than Forest, and Villa, but have never won one and those two have three between them.

What Forrest did under clough is arguably the greatest achievement of any team ever in English football, titles and European cups with Forrest, exceptional achievement.

Big Club Aston Villa going to get relegated this season probably. Big big club.

posted on 15/5/20

Not doubting the greatness of the achievement, I’m putting the achievement into context. Leicester’s achievement was unbelievable as well, arguably even more so, but it doesn’t mean they’re historically a big club because of that.
