Burnley are far bigger than Aston Villa. Established PL club. Manager with a strong reputation. Strong identity. Aston Villa have none of that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
While the whole big club talk is complete rubbish anyway. All clubs are big in the eyes of their supporters.
Using your logic Bournemouth are bigger than Leeds
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Currently they are Leeds haven't been big for years. And they only ever had a seven/eight year period from 1968 to the mid 1970s of being big, plus one year in the 1990s.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yet we have more titles than Spurs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spurs aren’t a big club either, to be fair.

Napoli are a small club as well. The only Italian clubs worth anything atm are Juventus, Inter, Roma and Atalanta. I have respect for AC Milan but they're far behind at this moment.
Broz can you beleive that people have been claiming Leeds are a big club. FFS, the word Leeds doesn't even sound like a City. They've been in League 1 more recently than they've been in the PL ffs.
Manchester United are the biggest club, I thou everyone knew that. Not necessarily the best, but because Buzbk and Fergie kept them around the top for forty years between them, and because of Munich.

Man City can keep winning trophies and Man Utd can keep being the biggest I guess Whatever that means.
Leeds, Forest, Villa? Bigger clubs do exist outside the PL you know.
What's your reasoning for putting Man City above Liverpool, Arsenal and United? What is the logic? Were you born in 2009?
Aube tho question isn't about how big the teams, but how relevant? The media decides that.
Maybe the question isn't about how big the team is, but how relevant? The media decides that.
Relevance is a big part of size.
When some people say size they think only history. They're missing 95% of the equation when they do this.
I'm 22 years old. I don't care whether nottingham forest won a champions league 50 years ago. I don't care how many league titles Liverpool won in the 1980s. What I care about is which team in England currently is the most impressive and powerful.
And that's Manchester City, like it or not. It used to be Manchester United, but not anymore.

So what make Burnley more relevant than Leeds, Forest and Villa for arguments sake?
They're an established mid table Premier league side for multiple years now with a very good, well respected manager.

So why does that relate to how big a club is? I assume you work off the basis that the best club in the PL is the biggest club or something?
Have you honestly named the last 10 teams that have been in European competition as the biggest 10 clubs in England?

And what's the relevance behind that? Why does that make them big? Does that make Bournemouth a big club as well? Were Swansea a big club before they were relegated because they were well established up until that point? Watford?
How does mid table mediocrity for something around a 5 year period make them bigger than some of the most historic, biggest clubs in the country?

If you're referring to Leeds and Nottingham forest, being in the championship makes you small by default. You cannot be a big club if you are not minimum in the top flight.

No, the biggest club is the most powerful club. That is Man City, not Liverpool who are top currently. Because Man City have a great manager, world class squad, rich owners, very impressive modern success and are well run.
Do you think PSG are not a giant club currently? In the Modern day and age I'm asking, not in the 1980s where most Ja606 users seem to live for some reason judging by this article.
Just because somebody is playing at a higher level, that doesn't make them bigger clubs, just better at this moment. The only thing the likes of Burnley have over Leeds and Forest at the moment is Premier League football and even that could change as of when next season takes place. You put Forest and Leeds in the PL and you ask any player, they'd rather play for either of them that Burnley I'd estimate. I think you're mixing up big club with better club as of divisions.
Liverpool are well run, have a world class squad, a great manager and have rich owners. Not Man City rich, but still rich. That's not even beginning to mention the history that Liverpool have behind them, maybe look at recent history such as the CL final last year and what will be the PL title this season? I'd very much argue your point about City being the most powerful club in the league tbh because I'd be somewhat sure it would be a big toss up between Liverpool and City at the moments in most circumstances when you base it off your analysis alone.
Burnley have won the league more times than Forest, to be fair.
