I thought the protests were about police brutality? Now its all about racism?
Where is the evidence of racism? Or if a white person attacks a black person it is automatically seen as racism?
Seemed to me, one evil cop who lost control. And his fellow officers at the scene, one being black, and one being Asian didn't protect and serve also.

Let’s puts some statistics (for the US)out there for you to read.
2019
Police fatally shot 1004 people
235 of those were black
So about a quarter and that’s been the case since 2015
2018
53% of known homicide offenders were African American and about 60% of robberies. The population totals around 13% of the nation
2019
Nine unarmed blacks were fatally shot by the police, 19 white
In 2018 there were 7,407 black homicide victims. Assuming a comparable number of victims last year, those nine unarmed black victims of police shootings represent 0.1% of all African-Americans killed in 2019. By contrast, a police officer is 18½ times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black male is to be killed by a police officer.

Here’s some figures for you
1 in 1000 black young people will statistically be shot by police in their lives compared to 0.4 white young people.

This will partly be due to the below:

This is a social/cultural issue, not racism (when talking about the overall cases not individual cases, obviously some will be racially motivated)

The stats Sat Nav don’t represent the percentage of black people living in the US compared to white people so as ever, without context they are meaningless

Black people are also 8 x more likely to commit murder.
Who would have thought commiting murder and violenet crime at a much higher rate, may lead to more deadly poice encounters.
Must be racist!
You realise that black police officer kill black people at the same rate as white police officers.

That's not then debate at hand is it? The debate we are having is whether there is any validity that unarmed black people in the US are more likely to die at the hands of police than white.

We actually have people trying to deny there’s a problem with racism in the police force. Scary and people like that are what’s stopping any real change.
