Saudi's now have the green light to buy Newcastle and spend a billion on players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And yet their takeover is still yet to be approved by the PL, they're a completely different kettle of fish.

hang on so basically now any sugar daddy club can sponsor themselves like City and thats FFP?
There goes FFP then

What?
I expected it to be overturned. Still a small fine they have to pay. Rodgers must be scared now.

the official statement reads.
City did not hide the fact their sponsorship deals were bogus, but they did refuse to properly assist aUEFA investigation.
CAS sees no issue with the fact they cooked their books as it pertains to FFP
ergo FFP is worthless in the eyes of CAS
everyone start spending because UEFA can clearly do nothing about it

Weird that they'd state in emails that they were disguising equity funding, yet it turns out they weren't. Quite surprising.
Congratulations Newcastle United. Premier League champions 2021-22
----------------------------------------------------------------------
According to the statement put out by CAS - the main accusations were either unfounded or time-barred. The wording suggests that Man City did breach some rules but that it was too late to punish them.
Won't know for sure until the evidence is released.

Why? For wanting to see the actual evidence? Which hopefully will be a few days going off the statement
this will be one those weird legal technicalities that because the emails that caught them red handed are deemed inadmissible
CAS and UEFA know what they did but because all evidence they will actually have is from City its not suprising given they refused to help UEFA with their investigation hence the 10m fine.
Thank f for that, means chances of Europa for us are next to nothing. Relief
