Brilliant article. How about we put the blame on the parents instead of the government all the time. How much is a bag of pasta and a tin of tomato’s. Prob a £1 from Aldi. What percentage of these so called parents who are calling for free school meal? Smoke, drink, have a car, Got sky, Netflix, Get takeaways ect.. But people come back saying can’t punish the kids for their parents. That’s just passing the buck. We want to give parents who are poor with money. Even more free stuff. Anyone who can’t feed their kids. Should have all their outgoing check to see where their money is going. And by the way it’s not free school meals. The hard working tax payer. Pays for it.

I do agree that some people are bad at managing their money. Family allowance is £93 per month for the first child, which is more than enough to put food on the table.

The £25 should be stopped and temporarily used to cover the proposed scheme.

Not just any food, those cants have some very high standard catering available.
