First, Biden’s support for finance over working-class Americans. His career was bankrolled by the credit card industry. He delivered for it by spearheading a bankruptcy bill that made it harder for Americans to reduce their debts and helped cause the financial crisis. He not only authored and voted for that bill, he split with Barack Obama and led the battle to vote down Democratic amendments.
His explanations for carrying water for the credit card industry have changed over time. They have never rung true.
Second, healthcare. On 25 April, the day he announced his campaign, Biden went straight to a fundraiser co-hosted by the chief executive of a major health insurance corporation. He refuses to sign a pledge to reject money from insurance and pharma execs and continues to raise money from healthcare industry donors. His campaign is being bankrolled by a super Pac run by healthcare lobbyists.
What did all these donors get? A healthcare proposal that preserves the power of the insurance industry and leaves 10 million Americans uninsured.
Third, climate change. Biden signed a pledge not to take money from the fossil fuel industry, then broke his promise. Right after a CNN town hall on climate change, he held a fundraiser hosted by the founder of a fossil fuel conglomerate. He is pushing climate policy that has gotten dismal reviews from several leading environmental groups.
Once you have read the above and the source materials, don’t come back saying anything other than ‘ok Biden is clearly corrupt as well as Trump’. I mean, the man has a multi million dollar property portfolio and has been a career politician. A politician corrupt? Surely not...

Biden makes the odd gaffe but he performed respectfully in one-to-one debates - bested Bernie Sanders, who no one has argued is senile or inarticulate, for example. The notion that both candidates are equally flawed or equally inarticulate is absolute rubbish. Biden makes the odd gaffe. Trump can barely EVER utter a coherent sentence or express an idea without veering off into a different one. Biden has done the usual politician's game of putting forward a vision and programme that he hopes can secure the support of a coalition of voters sufficient to get a plurality of the votes in enough votes to win the electoral college. If you ask him why vote for him, you'll get a reasonably coherent answer. If you listen to Trump, you'll get an alarming stream of consciousness featuring lies, spurious conspiracy theories, sinister authoritarian threats, bizarre asides and self-contradiction. Biden is a mediocre, centrist candidate who operates within democratic norms. Trump is corrupt, mendacious and dangerous without precedent in the White House. His re-election strategy now rests on trying to suppress voting and prevent votes from being counted via the courts. Let's drop this 'both sides' BS.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The odd gaffe? I stopped taking the post seriously after that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pity as its been one of the best on here. Never a good idea to brag about not reading an intelligent poster. One who puts his case better than you do
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bit of help for you here: not taking it seriously is not the same as not reading it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty much it is. You've read the first half dozen words and decided the rest isn't worth taking seriously, so you are hardly going to acknowledge any good points raised.

I don't know anything about Biden so don't comment. But I know someone thick when I watch and hear him a lot, and that's Trump.
Oh and a liar of course. Puussy grabbing is another endearing habit I suppose to his fans
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Biden is also all of those things including the last. Of course not everyone talks about that....
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why does everyone talk about Trump doing it then. Could it be that he bragged about it, when he was being Presidential. And do you answer every Trump criticism with, But what about...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well seeing as my point is that they’re both awful, then yes. You might have missed that earlier as it was a while back in this thread.
I’m merely pointing out the errors in the ways of people who only point out Trump’s obvious flaws whilst only highlighting Biden’s positives and refusing to acknowledge his flaws. VC and RR have both done this in this thread.
Hopefully my latest post to RR lives up to your high standards of point making.

By the way Sat Nav, you said that Biden is 'corrupt' as part of your 'both sides' narrative. What are the precise instances of corruption? Hopefully you can provide something more concrete than Fox/Breitbart insinuations to substantiate this assertion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You first seeing you labelled Trump corrupt first, it’s only fair.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Strange that you require proof of this given that you have called Trump corrupt yourself, and the point you appeared to be making was that the *two were both corrupt*. However, if what you're saying is that Biden is corrupt, while you may consider the possibility of Trump corruption if I provide evidence, then:
- Let's set aside the decades of well documented stiffing contractors in his business career since it doesn't constitute *political* corruption, however it illuminates his character.
- Ukraine scandal: he tells a foreign president that he won't block military aid if he comes up with some dirt on Biden. (NB the Senate refused to listen to evidence before voting to acquit him in the impeachment - no one seriously disputed the facts.)
- Failure to follow long established rules about divestment in businesses / having family members who are running bits of his business also running parts of the government.
- Countless little things like having lobbyists and foreign governments staying in Trump hotels and having the US military use the airbase at his Scottish golf course for refuelling.
- Employing grifters to government jobs. Several of them are in jail.
- Pressurising Departement of Justice / law enforcement to shut down investigations into him and to investigate his political opponents.

I genuinely thought you might be joking as asking seriously was less than expected.
Taking money fro mine credit card industry whilst passing a bill that makes it harder for the public (whom you are supposed to serve) to get out of debt and therefore make more money for the companies that are giving you money is corruption.
Same goes for healthcare. Insurance is the biggest problem with the healthcare industry in the US and the restrictions on where you can get your insurance from. It’s a bloody tight cartel that they’ve got going on over there between the politicians, the hospitals and the insurance companies.

I’m a Trump supporter. I wear a mask - but only because businesses require it. I don’t argue or make a scene because I don’t like wearing one.
But I’m not going to live in fear and I don’t favor shutting everything down - and killing the economy - over a death rate that is approximately 3-4% in the US.
Also, even if I wasn’t a Trump supporter, I’d still vote for him than anything the Democrats come up with as PUNISHMENT for the last four years of pure bullsh*t those b’stards have been doing.
And frankly I don’t give a toss about whatever response I get to this because at least I know where I stand while you clowns can’t figure out whether to pee standing up or sitting down.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Genuine question but what have the Democrats done over the last 4 years that makes you think they need to be punished?
Seeing as Republicans held both the house and senate from 2016-2018 and then the senate from 2018-2020, I fail to see what Democrats have done that would negatively effect you to this extent?

Ah look it’s the admirable Crichton. Did I miss your reply educating me in the subtleties of the civil rights issue of school choice in the US?
Something Biden did 40 years ago was it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Here’s another question that you won’t answer: who was the most recent US President to not start a war?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Whilst Trump still has time in office as it stands as of today; the answer is Trump! Before that it’s RR (Reagan).

Trump haters are too dumb to realise they are being played.

Yes, but not a patch on the previous POTUS.
