Feel like you could almost split this into a Jekyll & Hyde style comparison of Ole vs the big 6 and Ole vs the rest
Against the 6 he more often than not gets a lot of things right and doesn’t seem out of his depth against superior managers
Against the rest is where it doesn’t seem like the tactics/set up/ style of play/ subs is right
A google form would have been perfect for this. But here goes nothing.
Tactics - 6 [no answer yet to changing draws to wins]
Team selection - 6 [has done satisfactorily in having an ok squad interspersed with some flair elements like Bruno, Cavani]
Style of play - 5 [functional, not too exciting]
Man management - 6 [can do more to get more done by likes of non-performers like vdB and getting more from ok performers like Martial, Pogba etc.]
Substitutions - 3 [hesitates to make early subs, often makes like for like subs]
Achievements - 0 [being in top 4 is not an achievement, it is a requirement of the Utd job]
You’ve missed out a vitally important component - team morale.

Include both in your overall scores.
Tactics - 5/10 Sometimes he gets it right but in game management is not great. Needs to work on the poor starts which still seems like he's not addressed and rarely makes a tactical change. When it matters, he usually bottles it.
Team selection - 6/10 Usually he plays the best available team so can't really complain. Needs to work on better squad rotation
Style of play - 4/10 There's not really much of a style other than a quick counter. Our passing is terrible, positioning is terrible and so is the pace we play in.
Man management - 7/10 Can't complain about his man management, seems to handle the players really well...other than DVB.
Substitutions - 4/10 - Not great, far too many times he hesitates to make the right sub at the right time, it worked a few times last season but that was because he had to as we were a few goals down. Most of the time, its either too late, or not the right sub.
Team morale - 8/10 He's done well with team morale.
Achievements - What achievements? If we're gonna rate him as a nearly man, its a 9. But we've not won anything yet so its a 1.
Finished top 4 twice in a row. Something we've failed to do since SAF retired. While that isn't an achievement, it's better than where we were before ubther the 3 previous managers. What he does need to do is get the team over the line in terms of Cup competitions.

A few other factors you could add:
- Signings/squad rebuild
- Focus on/development of youth setup

Tactics - 5. Double pivot in all games.
Team selection - 5. Picks itself, however the GK situation is a mess, as is the midfield.
Style of play - 5. get it to Bruno seems to be the extent of our style of play.
Man Management - 5. His handling of Pogba has been very good, but his handling of the GK's and Donny has been poor.
Substitutions- 4. Poor.
Team morale - 7. Seems to be good, although the GK situation will becone an issue once Henderson is fit, Donny clearly isnt happy, i doubt James was, there have been runours about Bailly being unhappy and wull Martial be happy being 4th choice CF?
Achievements - 7.5. About as good as i think we could expect under Ole.

Yet there are plenty of examples of teams going backwards despite spending large sums of money. United included.
Of course he is involved in the youth setup. One of the reasons Jose was sacked was because of his alck of interest in the yotuh.
Tactics - 7 - Against the top teams, he has proven that he is able to set the team up in the proper way. Our results against the top teams has significantly improved since he took over, and we've had quite a few special results in that time. Though, obviously there are also some pretty big failings against smaller teams, and particularly in finals & semi finals.
Team selection - 7 - Not much to be said for this - I don't think he really has much choice in the team that he plays most of the time, though it'd be nice to see VDB get more game time. I do absolutely love the amount of youth players getting chances under him though.
Style of play - 5 - Last season we relied heavily on Bruno, and our left wing & it certainly cost us some points not being able to play in a different way. We are one of the best counter attacking teams in the world at the moment, but as soon as we have more of the ball we struggle to break teams down.
Man management - 8 - Treatment of VDB has not been great, but he's handling the GK situation. Competition is good for the team & prevents complacency. I don't know what else people want him to do with the GKs...
Substitutions - Tricky one this. 7 - His substitutions are super frustrating in that they come very late, and often appear to be the wrong subs. Saying that though, I saw some stats last season that basically put Ole's substitutions as amongst the most impactful subs when made. Would be nice to see them earlier, but the boss obviously knows what he's doing, even if it is frustrating.
Team morale - 10 - I haven't seen a United team that seems this happy for many years. To a large degree, he's brought our United back. Hands down this is the best thing he's done for United so far. There seems to be a real buzz around the team.
Achievements - 5 - This has been the most disappointing aspect. There has certainly been progress, and I'm optimistic that the progress will continue. But we've lost too many semi finals & finals. Finishing in the top 4/2nd is all well and good, but you don't get a trophy for that. I wont go as far as to say he has to win one this season, because I don't think that's a reasonable thing to say, but there's only so far 'improvements' can go.
Overall, I am happy with Ole as manager, I think it's clear to see that we have improved and are improving. Our squad is so much better than it was when he took over, he's bringing in the right kind of players, he's bringing youth through. Genuinely excited to be a United fan at the moment, which isn't something I've been able to say since SAF. His handling of the media, for the most part has been excellent.
If Ole left tomorrow, he's left United in a far, far better place than when he took over. I believe he has shown more than enough to continue as United manager for the foreseeable, and actually he'd have to properly fvck something up to be made to leave.
Obviously there are frustrations, games like Wolves make that evident, but I believe he has earned the time to address things like that.
Rashford loves him
