It depends how you define morning. They are levels to it for me. I'm not going to shed a tear for someone that I didn't know. At the same time, I am a little sad. I don't know anyone who has expressed anything other than sadness at her passing. Sure, the media will overplay it. But on the whole, I'd say we are a county in mourning, albeit it at different levels.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Personally, I would define morning as the period between midnight and midday. Obviously this can also be broken down into early, mid and late morning.
Sorry 👀

It’s not fully democratic if the monarchy exists.
The people have never been consulted on whether they want a monarchy. I imagine they'd vote in favour of keeping it, given the chance, but I wonder how it would go without centuries of carefully crafted and well funded propaganda.
Incidentally, while I wouldn't have a king if I were designing a system of government, there are several constitutional reforms I would prioritise over abolition of the monarchy. We lack a number of checks and balances without which we would have a republic just as rotten as our kingdom.

Agree on the constitutional reforms on government, thats been needed for a long time, it will come eventually.
Hopefully the set up for the monarchy will change with charlie boy now at the top, he doesn't seem to get the same positive spin as the queen had. The monarchy is as outdated as the structure of political parties in this country.
I just drove my kids to football training. Turns out the football centre has locked up and didn't bother to contact our team to inform us. They were indifferent to the passing of the Queen before. Now they're very upset, and they blame her, which I feel is a bit harsh.

It’s not. A fully democratic system doesn’t have a monarchy.
I doubt the monarchy will survive in its current guise for much longer. A lot of people genuinely care about the Kardashians than the royal family which brings me to the point of the OP. The narrative structure which exists in the UK (not so much here in Oz as no one really cares that much about the Queen dying even though she was very popular with the older generation as her visits here were blockbuster) is designed to almost gaslight you into believing you have to feel a certain way or else you’re a narrative traitor.
Most people back in the UK I spoke to yesterday all pretty much said the same thing when i asked why they were sad about the queen dying and it all along the lines of ‘because she represented tradition’.
I truly believe the UK, possibly more than any other country I’ve been to is obsessed with the past and finds it very difficult to look forwards and the queen was a warm bath of nostalgia for many. But I’m certain that if Kim Kardashian died yesterday many many more of the younger generation of brits would be disconsolate.
