I’d have gone for Hodge instead of Hwang. City are packing the midfield today and we are in danger of being outnumbered there with a 433

Pleased Adama starts though, we will be relying on breakaways in this one and he’s the man for that game

Quite pleased to be honest to see Jimenez start. Like most I'm close to giving up on him, but I think 2 or 3 goals could make all the difference to his confidence.

Another horrendously biased ref.

Need some half time delusional optimism from Spanner now. It’s difficult to take any positives from that without his help.

only saw the last fifteen but didn't think we looked too bad to be honest

First time I have been here, impressed with facilities and view , I expect to see a raft of subs for us , not a disaster to be one down at hall time

Not sure how it wasn't a foul on Hwang earlier on. We pressed really well to begin with, but everytime we got them under pressure and looked like winning it back; the ref just gave a free kick.

Putting us with two yellow cards early on gave a bit of an advantage to City, as we had to withdraw a bit. Really incompetent from the ref and probably ruined the first half from an excitement level for us and the neutral.

Squad game for Lopegetui. I think he picks the team with a gameplan that already has in mind how he can change it later on in the game.

Sa is a shambles. Said last year i thought he was being way overhyped and this year he looks a mess.

Haaland is outscoring our entire squad 2 to 1.

Ridiculous.

We've just imploded here.

Christ can't be handing out gifts like that. Every week I'm baffled by this absolutely effing brainless idea of trying to play out from as deep as physically possible. Just stop!

Could have been a lot worse. City scored one OK goal, we gave them the other two.

Agree Goldi, this playing out of defence is bad enough against an average team, against the likes of Man City it's brainless.

Still a bit baffled by some choices. Hwang and Adama starting games isn't going to win us many. Woukd have Ait-Nouri for Bueno as well, brings more quality on the ball and is productive where we need it most, going forward.

That was the hardest watch. Can't say I enjoyed that at all.

Agree, not a competition really. We didn't play that badly overall, couple of silly mistakes which, of course you can't make at the Etihad.

Pretty standard win for City who always find ways to score goals, particularly with their new centre forward. We frustrated them for much of the first half but you always felt it was delaying the inevitable.

That third goal had been coming for a few weeks. We just don’t have the keeper or defenders to play out from that deep. Neves, Kilman and Bueno probably our best players. Nunes a bit disappointing and Lemina quiet.

With City having 5 in midfield we were always going to be in trouble with just three and I’d have rather seen Moutinho or Hodge instead of Hwang. Don’t personally think it’s worth persevering with Jimenez or Hwang. Hopefully Sarabia and Cunha can make their mark.

No more games this month so let’s see what the squad looks like for the next match. Didn’t expect anything more today so can’t get down about it
