Wouldn't worry too much about today, unlikely we got much out of it. Annoying we blew up early second half though, denying us any chance to get some momentum going.
Would like to see Raul in the middle of Cunha and Sarabia and Podence behind with only two mids in some of our 'more winnable' games.
Am I the only one that's been a bit disappointed with Nunes recently? Misplaced passes, 1 out 3.

He is a bit inconsistent but to be fair we have faced some tough midfields of late. I like him.

I miss the days when we could go away to top 6 teams and give them a game. These days we seem to be beaten before a ball is kicked. We may not get anything out of it but go at least with the attitude that we're going to be bloody hard to beat. It's not like we don't need the points either.
Never expected us to get anything from this one, but the manner with which we imploded at the start of the second half was disappointing.

I think it did look like we were going to give them a game to begin with, but there was a bit of poor refereeing which stopped it. Every time we go them under pressure there was a soft free kick given and then put two of our players on yellows early on.
The pressing quickly became less aggressive and momentum was taken away from the game. After that it was just how long we could hold out for.

If we had some momentum going in the season then agree, but no doubt right now we are a work in progress and Julen is still tinkering with things and when that is the case it is unlikely we would get something from a game like this.
Final front 3 line up had good movement, give the midfielders something to aim at
No game for two weeks which will give time to the new players to settle in and get some time on the training ground. Liverpool at home next but then away at Southampton and home to Bournemouth. Two games when we need to get points on the board
I take it Weekend Offender has been banned and already on with a new profile. Wonder what he did this time.
Still clinging on by my finger tips Tam 👍
Ah. I assumed Salop was your new identity. I was looking forward to seeing Detective Sunny using the power of deduction again.
Salop used to post way back
Your a community support officer Tam compared with chief superintendent wolfie. No way Salop is Pundit, TBC, weekend etc, he's capable of stringing several sentences together for a start and they all make sense.
I did think it was unusually coherent.
Talking of people coming back out of the woodwork to add a valuable contribution on here, I'm surprised Bute hasn't been back to rejoice in the fact that his hero super Mick is back in work.
Thankfully we have left dinosaur talk way behind
Joao Gomes was left out of the Flamengo squad at the weekend giving a clear sign that he’ll be on the move somewhere in the next week. Still not clear whether that will be to Lyon or Wolves. Can’t believe Wolves will let the chance slip to sign a player that wants to come here when Lyon have offered just a million or two more to sign him. If he’s anywhere near as good as his repulsion he’ll be worth a lot more than £17m in a year or two.
From the long term injury list Chiquinho and Kalajdzic won’t play again this season. Boubacar Traore is expected to be fit early March. Neto should rejoin training in February
Is Dawson good at bringing the ball out of defence? Kilman can do that at times but maybe not so much Collins. May help reduce the painful and dangerous playing in our 6 yard box although they may have been told to do that
We could go to a back three but that would seem daft given the options we have in midfield and the forward line.
Feels like Julen wants Neves Nunes and one of Lemina or Moutinho starting for sure. A back three with leave us playing two forwards only and that would be a surprise.

Seems that it’s a common practice in the modern game with the objective to take two or three pressing attackers out of the game by passing through them. All very well when it works but Wolves aren’t the only team to have got it wrong recently. Seems all too risky to me when the consequence is often a goal conceded when it goes pear shaped
Yes I think you are right , but we need to get the ball out of defence quicker, the starting midfield and the finishing attack look the best choices at the moment if they can gel
