Then, on top of all this, the Israeli PR team spin nonsensical lies about hamas - beheaded babies, babies being cooked in ovens. There has never been any proof of any of these, yet stories spread like wildfire. A CNN journalist was forced to apologise for speaking about it the day earlier, as it turned out there was no proof. But the damage had already been done.

We all know this runs much deeper than the last six months but this current mess started on October the seventh.

Hamas doing what they did only had one outcome and that is what we are seeing now.

If Hamas don't carry out that attack then there are 10,000+ people still alive that aren't today.

Because they killed a load of palestinians to gain power after Israel withdrew from Gaza. Wilful killings of civilians, pushing them from buildings, killing them in hospitals etc etc.

It's not like they popped up due to apartheid recently, quite the opposite.

So I guess they exist because Israel decided to made a step forwards towards resolving conflict.

Ridiculous that people think they're some kind of justified necessity for Palestine.

I repeat, none of Israel's actions are about Hamas. They just want the land, and Palestinians to be gone.

None of Hamas actions are about Israel or Palestine either.

You asked the question why does Hamas exist in the first place, why does Israel exist in the first place? Why see everything from a single side?

When are people going to stop taking sides blaming each other for this situation and advocate for peace in that region instead?

Correct, and had they not seized the opportunity after Israel removed their troops and people from Gaza to overcome the Fatah by killing innocent Palestinians they would not exist.

Israel is a bona fide country and one that is subject to international law as a result. They also receive aid in various forms, including militarily, from my country.

The Jews were there first as far as I'm concerned. Judaism is literally 3000 years older than Islam.

Simply on the basic ethics of it...

There shouldn't have to be any country in the world where people weren't allowed to freely practice their own religion without having to fear for their lives, for being persecuted or expelled, having their lands and homes taken away from them.

Marking out a specific area for Jews to be able to have just that is one of the biggest and most cowardly cop outs in modern history.

There was no good reason for creating the state of Israel. It was motivated by self-interest, an intended to solve what had long been seen a 'problem' for European nations, and obtaining the support of an influential group in the midst of a war effort.

Let's be clear, BOTH sides in this conflict are the victims of the prejudice of Western powers whose main aim was to load an issue borne out of their own religious and ethnic intolerance onto someone else's innocent backs.

This is the black lives matter thing all over again.
