Holland offering nothing up front when they have a chance to break

FFS how did nobody pull you up about this last night?

TMQ has just phoned me to say: “Fresia!”

I think that’s what he was saying anyway. Hard to make out over his teeth shivering.

Think Spain are an entirely different proposition to anything England have faced so far in this tournament.

They are rightly favourites and I’d expect them to win. But this is a one off game where winner takes all. In the event that England do win it, maybe the nonsensical “jamming bastirts” chat will all but cease (apart from the obvious dafties of course

Then they’ll have beaten the “best” and thereby deserve it. No skin off my nose either way. I don’t support or detest either of them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It would depend how they won the final, I suppose. If it’s with another ludicrous pen like last night …

Think they’ve a decent chance TBH. Whilst I think Spain are a far better footballing side, they can most definitely be got at defensively. Even though France pretty much stunk the place out all tournament, I think they might actually have been a harder nut for Eng to crack in the final. Personally hoping for a Sunday double of Alcaraz and his countrymen though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I make no apologies for being in the ‘jammy bastirts’ camp. But I also appreciate the “a win is a win” and “you can only beat what’s in front of you” mantras.

But based on that argument, can we agree that, if ENG do NOT win the Final (for whatever reason) they are 100% NOT allowed to describe themselves as “unlucky”? 🤔

Silver, THIS 100% in Edinburgh there is one facking Virgin branch and it’s in the city centre, I had a similar situation recently and after 20 mins of arguing, about MY cash they called a manger to “instruct” me that they were simply making sure I was sure I was doing what I wanted to do?

Wee bastirt carrying a clipboard and looking like an Apple Store employee telling me what I should be doing with my money? If I wasn’t such a lazy bastirt I’d change banks

I asked should I have given them warning and he said no, they'd still have to go through that process. Virgin bank like Piff. Worst is I'm a 'private banking' customer and old days your personal manager did everything for you no questions asked - ffs they'd even arrange for it to be delivered to your door if you asked, just on the back of a phone call. Gradually all the perks have dried up and they closed the 'relationship suite' when they gobbled up Clydesdale.

I have fallen out with all the major banks in Canada Our main one now is a Credit Union which leans towards the "old fashioned" style of banking. During covid my manger met me at the door of the bank and handed me an envelope of cash that I requested. No ID, no signature just recognition and trust. That said when more recently withdrawing $3k admittedly not at my home branch I was asked what it was for which made me smile but at least it was done conversationally whilst she was filling out paperwork.

Also, if you are going to launder money who don't ever do it through a bank ffs. Everyone knows that

Highly unlikely, given we appear to be talking about a 1 year contract. He’s 6 months older than the guy who’s just retired. Best case, benefit of the doubt scenario … We’ve a longer term target in mind who we can’t get for another year. More likely scenario … Having known for 5 months Hart was retiring, we’ve fecked up our recruitment yet again, so a guy Rodgers knows will do as a sticking plaster, temporary fix as we kick the can down the road.

I genuinely don't understand the hate Celtic are getting on this signing

Within days of his contract expiring he signs for us. That tells me we have been ready for it

If I said we'd sign an international goalkeeper who played every Euro match for €8M people would he delighted.

Why is age 37 the difference between happy or nor?

I don’t think Keepers drop off as they age like outfield players nearly as much, he’s experienced and a character who will speak up in the dressing room, I’ll judge him on how he performs but I do have a feeling he could be a good signing
