Like i said, ZZzz...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Like I said you’re a ‘big baby’!
You won’t discuss the current issues with the Labour government but yeah that’s very Lefty!
Here’s another one on top of the shiite show that is Labour on this is report ‘Britain’s borrowing costs mount as 'stagflation' fears haunt gilt investors’!
And if you’re too thick to understand what ‘stagflation’ means is an economy of slow growth, high unemployment, and rising prices!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cause and effect.
I may not agree with certain aspects of Labours actions but accept tough choices have to be made to rectify the catastophic economy it inherited.
You and your fellow ignoramus have wilfully decided to ignore the wider context for Labours tough decisions, for your own blue flag waving reasons, yet still expect a good faith argument. In the words of the bard "f**k off you absolute clownshoes".
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes context is important. Labour have had to deal with very difficult economic position.
However, what they do from here is entirely their choice. Whether they go for a big spending splurge to plug gaps in public services straight away or whether they phase the investment inline with a growing economy. That is all part of the challenge.
They have chosen to make some fairly sizable investment straight away, to address some key issues and I am fine with that.
However, they could have also done things like phasing in pay rises to Jnr Doctors etc over time, so that they are getting the same or better reward but accepting that it cannot all be afforded in year 1, but will be delivered over several year.
But to then talk of a budget for growth and deliver inflationary action that will impact negatively on businesses, on growth, on wage growth, on the cost of living.
They are the ones making these promises, so they have to be held to account for these as they have nothing to do with what the Tories did.
How they deliver them is what I am critical of, and the fact they prefaced all their pledge with achieving growth. Their plans for growth are long term. And again i'm fine with that but they haven't just ignored the here and now, they have hit it hard, and that has consequences going forward, not just for businesses but employees, for the cost of living. And that has impacts going forward in terms of the next round of public sector pay reviews and interest on Govt debt for example.
In my opinion the balance has been all wrong. Promising and giving too much too soon and affording it purely through increased taxation which harms the very thing that will make greater pubic spending more sustainable.
Feels like a bit of a long term gamble which will deliver some pretty negative conditions in the meantime. Some hurt was inevitable as we recover from some pretty massive global economic shocks, and it remains to be seen whether long terms plans have the desired effect. But don't talk about growth when taking action that does anything but promote growth.

Whoosh! Right over your baldy fat head.
You pair are so dumb, you dont understand cause and effect.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cause and effect like, hit businesses with the biggest tax grab in a generation and expect the "budget for growth" to actually deliver growth and "put money into the pockets of working people"
I think it's Rachael Reeves who needs to be reading up on the Law of Cause & Effect
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh ffs!
Raising taxes is what every new executive wants to do, isnt that right genius?
Your heros ignored the waspi women for 14 years, pipe down.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Again.....deflect. But but but the ToriesKeir & Rayner promised fair compensation and are now back tracking. Hold your own lot to account instead of giving them a free pass because of the Tories
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The more you write off the last 14 years as deflection the more disingenuous you look & the less seriously you are taken.
Not a complex equation to get your head around.

I'm not writing off anything.

So more deflection. But but but the Tories
The cost of covid is estimated at around £400bn to the country. For context, the NHS budget was about £140bn pre-covid
and you think i'm conveniently omitting relevant information
Yes, some poor decisions have resulted in a poor use of public funds and i am not condoning them and the Tories have rightly paid the price for that......
but i just cannot take seriously the views of someone who thinks that soaring house prices over the last decade+ is down to airbnbs.
In the same way, poor decisions and waste of money by the Tories will have impacted on the public finances but are not the cause of the much bigger issues issues we (and many other countries) face now.
You try and wrap everything up in a narrative that the Tories created this mess. Its the equivalent to saying that the massive financial mess Everton have faced is because they over spent on signing Allan.
Why do you think most European economies are in a similar mess, with (b4 Labour came in) inferior growth to the UK. Is that the Tories too?
Oil and gas prices went up 120% and 240% respectively, overnight, after the invasion of Ukraine, sparking a continent and global inflation crisis.
I have been and am prepared to criticise Tory decision making over their tenure. I am not so blinkered to not be able to think objectively and form my own view of whether i consider a particular policy or decision is right or wrong. And I will analyse the Labour performance in the same way in forming my own view.
But at least i am analysing it and not just acting like a brainwashed sheep, towing the party-line and pointing the finger at the opposition every time and refusing to be objective about my own party,
