A lot of “Chic” songs are perfect pop, even if you can put them into other categories (Nile wanted to make popular hours, simple as that)

I think uptown funk is maybe the quintessential pop song though… catchy, danceable, perfect production

'Uptown Funk' is just a reworked version of 'Living In America' James Brown

Some pop songs are timeless, some whilst appreciate the artistry do my head in, dancing queen is a prime example.
