It convinced PSG to pay Sporting big money for him so I suspect he was pretty good for him, yeah.

I imagine Bruno will be happy with this appointment too.

No I don't believe he did as they appointed him shortly after we signed Bruno I think. It was more the Portuguese and Sporting link I was eluding too with him.

We've had good history with Sporting too of course. Ronaldo obviously was one of the greatest we've ever had and Nani was very good too.

It's an exciting appointment if it happens. No guarantee it will work though at this crazy club but I'm happy it's somebody like him and not Potter/Southgate etc.

Maguire is even much better in a back 3 than he is in a
flat back 4. He becomes an option again for us for sure.

I really hope we pay the buy back clause for Fernandez at Benfica. Incredible we let him go when there was serious doubts over Shaw and Malacia. Likes of Liverpool, Madrid and Barca been watching him closely apparently. Says it all about ETH's lack of a clue.

Afaik, he doesn’t know Bruno. They’ve never worked together or played together, and when Bruno has spoken about him, he’s done so using very formal language (which you don’t do in Portugal unless you don’t know someone).
