As sad as I am seeing another Utd manager sacked (as that means we've been poor and no Utd fan wants that) since the sacking I've been feeling a bit more positive as there was clearly a cloud around the place.
I certainly wouldn't expect that high a win percentage but I am hoping he can get us playing some good football even if there will be bumps in the road.
Looking back now perhaps Ineos had him in mind all along what with chasing quite a few CBs and signing Ugarte and Zirkzee. I'm intrigued to see how he fares.

Fuсk you Rosso!
Of course we can only go on what he has done so far and how he has set up his team at Sporting, but Amorim is still developing as a coach also, so hopefully he sees this as a chance to obviously impose his style of play but also recognise he may need to tweak with the current squad etc.
He comes across as someone who can improve this squad, and for me everyone starts with a clean slate - there will be players who will improve under him, others who fall down the pecking order.
All I hope to see are clear signs of how he wants to play, making us tighter and more difficult to beat, and just easier on the eye to watch. I expect there to be mistakes along the way as he settles in, but hopefully a case of a handful of good games for every bad one - it's felt the opposite in recent months under ETH.

I guess if it has been communicated through back channels that Guardiola is leaving next summer, then it makes a lot of sense. That's something we can't know, nor can the Viana move be indicative of it. The other thing in favour of it is that our sporting leadership would surely not let it be known that they have prioritised Amorim if they weren't well on the way to getting their man, especially in the knowledge of how badly it would look if they tried and failed before he went to City. So then it would be a case of whether Ornstein is reporting frivolous / speculative stuff from 'sources close to' (which isn't his MO) or Amorim knows he's going to City and is delivering United a sneaky blow in advance.

Various reports / outlets suggest that verbally it's been agreed, but just need to cross the Ts and dot the Is? Pereira going to step up from the 'B' team and be promoted from within at Sporting?
I am usually oblivious to such paper talk etc, but if they have got this wrong, wow, they have really got it wrong.
It's going to happen - won't be in time for Chelsea, he'll probably be in the stadium, watch us get humped and all the paper talk will be of 'if he didn't know how big the job was, he does now........'
Maybe our interest the other day in some rumours regarding Alphonso Davies was true if we had a coach in mind that lives by attacking wingbacks?
I doubt very much that the press has United’s interest in Amorim wrong; I think the question is how interested Amorim will be given the current transitional state of the club and, particularly, the state of the squad.

No evidence (although some logic) behind this, but I have a feeling that we won’t get him. And that he’ll end up at City.

Fuсk you Rosso!

Sorry man
His Sporting Director, Viana, has just gone to City (remember what they did with Soriano and Begiristain before Pep arrived… ); Pep is in his last one or two seasons there; City have the platform already; City’s play is already closer to his style; City have more of the kind of players you’d think he’d need…
Just makes more sense than United tbh.
