I think it being an AI fake is far-fetched. First of all there are no signs of AI. Therefore for it to be fake would take a person or people with an extremely high skillset to accomplish it. Those types of people would surely not be interested in a referee bias against Liverpool.

The most likely excuse for me is that it's not actually him but somebody that looks like him.

You seem to be struggling with the implications here.

Klopp criticised Coote as he failed to issue a clear red card to Pickford who put VVD out for the season.

Coote's alleged comments in the video show a level of bias which can explain why he failed to make the correct decision.

This shows him to be impartial, which Liverpool fans and of course Klopp knew anyhow.

If the video is verified, the guy will not referee in the PL anymore. It's as serious as that. So yeah, "it's hardly that bad" couldn't be further from the truth.

Him calling Klopp that doesn't necessarily mean he lets it impact how he reffed Liverpool games, but the problem now is it's removed the defence that he's impartial.

Any bad decision he made against Liverpool will now have the air of uncertainty over it whether it was intentional or not due to his own personal feelings.

For what it's worth I think he's just a crap ref, but now you can never be sure.

Those shirt pulls haven't been given all season and there has been clear guidance on why. In fact Bradley's shirt was pulled first so if they were going to be given without being sustained and classed as holding, where the player can't pull away, then Bradley would have had a freekick before he retaliated by doing the same.

I wonder just how many refs "dislike" certain managers, players etc?

I think that is ok as LONG as they ref the game as it is, bad calls will happen due to mistakes but if they are making calls due to how they feel then that isn't
