I wouldn’t, I’ve met too many refs that I know would have the exact same thing about Pep or other coaches!I agree with the sentiment that most fans would see it that way though if a referee was saying it about their own club.

Like I’ve said, he deserves to lose his job but refs will dislike certain coaches and players. Clattenburg spoke about it after he retired. The issue Coote has is his opinion coming out publicly and continuing to referee is an untenable position.

It shows lack of professionalism, if you dont like a manager dont be involved in their games. If you can't iron it out with them face to face ask to be reassigned. Most managers dont last long anyway, theyres plenty of other games.

Pretty sure the studies will back it up if you dislike something so much even if you want to be professional about it subconsciously its gonna influence your decisions.

As i said this guy went on to be involved in 13 Liverpool games after that incident in the Burnley game. in 2020.most of which were under a guy he thinks an Arrogant and didnt want anything to do with him, outside of facking him over on poor refereeing decisions ofc.

I suppose if you wanna get very pedantic, if he held the view that every manager who gave him sh!t on the touchline is a c**t (this is quite common in modern football), then maybe it's not an anti-Klopp bias per say. But the fact he made a video specifically about Klopp? It's not great.

If you really did that then you wouldn’t have anyone refereeing games. They dislike some coaches as much as some coaches dislike some of them - that’s just human nature and particularly in a world like theirs, it would be crazy to think it doesn’t exist. His job is rightly untenable because his personal opinion about someone has come out publicly.

There has to be a reward more than just to annoy someone for it to be corruption. For it to be bias, there needs to be some evidence to show a difference in actual judgment given to decisions against Liverpool compared to others.

I’ve just had a quick look at the stats and nothing backs that up.

hes reffed 3 games in the prem for us,66.67% win rate so those whoscored stats aint right, 1 was under slot too one of the wins. so its 50% under klopp.

They’re all competitions. Doesn’t matter if it’s Slot now, your point in this thread was that video being indicative of him not liking Liverpool too and brought up our win percentage under him as well. He’s reffed us 7 times and we’ve won all 7, he’s reffed you 6 times and you’re the club with the second highest win percentage with him refereeing, which is the question I asked.

Now personally I don’t think either is a big enough subset to judge but given you’re the one that brought us up I thought it pertinent to show he’s hardly been overly strict against you by any of the metrics.

5 wins 1 draw 2 losses as a an onfield ref is a 62.5% win ratio. Chuck in the 6 wins 3 loss 3 draw as VAR and its 55%. his worst stuff came from him on var tbf. if ur looking at just prem its 3 games yh 2 wins 1 draw so 67% rounded up.

OK. I've never considered the idea corruption requires some form of material gain to be considered as such. To prove the presence of corruption yes, but it's about abuse of power. A referee who uses his position of authority to stick it to a club or manager he doesn't like would qualify on it's own based on my understanding of the term.

I just checked google's definition & it's somewhat in line with mine but does acknowledge a material gain aspect, so maybe I'm wrong.
