All refs make mistakes in pretty much every game. In recent games I think it has been Wolves who could maybe feel most agitated, but its swings and roundabouts as to who feels most hard done by.

If scousers really want to feel Coote has been blatantly biased against them, so be it, but recognise there is a difference between someone being annoyed by what a manager has said about them and then talking about it when totally blootered, and someone who is completely corrupt in the game.

Which is absolute nonsense. The majority are in agreement with Liverpool fans. You know those normal people who see an injustice and want there to be consequences and things to improve. Not the people like yourself who refuse to see the injustice because it's against Liverpool. No doubt if the tables were turned and it was United being talked about in the video, you'd be up in arms.

This is a mess for the PGMOL yeah. But honestly, football is so ripe with corruption that goes beyond the refs that you either take it (i.e. keep investing your time & emotions into it) or leave it at this point, follow a non-league club perhaps.

The issue is if he has these feelings no doubt his colleagues know it, yet hes been put on games after and made huge costly errors against Liverpool. Instead of being professional and sorting it out man to man with Klopp hes gone and done this and in games after let Pickford get away with crippling VVD.

Thats the kind of man Coote is.

The majority of the scouse press yeh, but the majority of fans, not a chance. I have more sympathy for smaller clubs who I think have much more of case when decisions go against them. Even then I don't see it as bias but refs being under pressure or simply making mistakes.Oh and if that ref made those remarks about United I'd want him suspended for his unprofessional comments AFTER the facts (which he has been) not bias. I wouldn't be printing T-shirts that's for sure

In the case of Coote it is absolutely about that. He allegedly has proved he is impartial, has a dislike of Liverpool and especially their former manager.

What do you think it's about if not about a referee being impartial towards the club he's making the comments about?

I have done. Webb came in and has brought in the need to explain decisions against all clubs.

However the article is about Coote and Liverpool and you've stated as a consequence of what allegedly occurred, Webb needs to go. Why does he need to go and as a consequence of this and how does it relate to other clubs?

They don't really provide explanations. Webb just rationalises whatever decision was made like a good lawyer would. He only admits guilt when there is no other get around.

Have you seen the explanations themselves? They're ridiculous and he's just trying to cover for his atrocious referee regime with what usually some bogus explanations.

One moment he says Oliver didn't want to impact the game and so he let a major offence slide, the next moment Oliver is sending off players for trivialities.

If anything, Webb's explanations have served to demonstrate that he just makes it up as he goes along. They also choose what incidents to explain and the host just agrees with everything and doesn't really push the refs. It's an exercise of sportswashing of fans to accept mediocrity in officiating.

Fans want individual refs mic'd up and explaining decisions like other sports. Having Webb on some weekly show doing his best Johnny Cochran impression is because they think we're stoopid.

Also, Webb is responsible for the instructions and the spirit with which the refs do their job. He provides the direction and advise, tells them what to clamp down. He is the leader of a bunch of bumbling dinosaur buffoons. We have discussed the standards of officiating in this league for a long time and he is in charge of this sheetshow.

He was in charge of the implementation of VAR which was a complete disaster that almost caused the remivak if VAR, which is probably what Webb wanted, and is involved in decisions to delay the implementation of more technology which other leagues have been using since last season. We'll be two years late because of these dinosaurs when we are the richest league and should be leading in tech, but we are not.

This is the same guy that awarded United 18% of his career penalties too, so I'd rather even keep Coote than Webb. Webb must be the first to go.
