Well I am, relegation is a big part of this league and we should keep it.

Just thought I would show him how business' look after themselves and not their competition and how each has their own agenda.

And this is why both Dave Whelan and Phil Gartside have publicly stated they are against scrapping relegation from the Premier League?

Which is bad business sense from the two of them.

Have a look at my recent article on that issue, there is a huge reason why nobody would want to scrap relegation or promotion.

"Just thought I would show him how business' look after themselves and not their competition and how each has their own agenda."

TheresOnlyOneReds - the thing is you wrote this unaware that these two chairmen had stated their position, which is fair enough, but it goes to show you that in business it is not always the smart move to be motivated by short term self interest. Just because Liverpool's MD is motivated by this, it doesn't mean this is the only way to conduct yourselves.

Put simply, Whelan and Gartside believe in the current business model, whether their clubs find themselves inside it or outside it.

They also know that scrapping PL promotion & relegation would be catastrophic for the league structure in this country. They are football men.

FredBassett - I am glad we agree on something.
