In my experience some clients can be very difficult to deal with and do not accept the guidance offered by those that design/develop sites.

-----------

That's the problem most developers/designers have. Personally, I've come to the conclusion that clients are idiots.

I had one a few years ago, who asked for a design, once I had sorted one, he OK'd it and I began the build. After about a week he rang me saying he was bored of the old design and he wanted it changing.

So now, I get everything they want on paper, and ask them to sign it. So, if they decide to change their mind, I charge them extra at my hourly rate (which is £45)

Pretty much how we work at our place. Get everything speced out and nailed down in a contract. So many clients that start wanting to add new functionality in after you start work and expect the price to remain the same. We have started spending a lot more time at the planning stage to ensure that we have set guidelines so that we can charge for additional work. People just dont understand how little changes can impact on the whole of the rest of the site.

The things I hate most is you can no longer see the fixtures by day, so to see todays fixtures you need to scroll through every division and pick out todays date from the list of the next months games for each div.

It's also awful you cant see the scorers of the games after they finish without going into every single match report in all divisions!!!

You also cant see the scorers for a particular club for their past results without reading every match report. You used to see all scorers, red cards etc under every result, which is great for fantasy football and just generally.

Arghh anyone know a good site where you can now see who's scored in all the games being played? This rubbish new BBC site just shows the score unless you go into every single match report.

Xscores is a great site for scores and scorers. Just click the info button next to each game for list of scorers.

Yeah, I hadn't notice that. Seems a bit silly and another change I'm not sure needed to be made.

They're currently showing Day of the Triffids on the BBC Sport website.

Someone forgot to take the BBC2 feed down after MOTD2 I guess.

If anyone's interested the BBC have closed the blog that had 1500 negative comments and written a new one which is now also building up. Bit sneaky if you ask me.

Any way here is the link
