Admin1, I have a few more suggestions for new features.

Why not include: Latest news stories, match reports, interviews, newspaper gossip, and possibly even some vidoes of highlights/interviews etc.

Then I never have to look at that awful BBC site again....

You lot should use sky sports, much better and faster news updates too.

BTW it actually isn't so awful in the other sections (news, weather etc) but they're still far worse looking than before.

More evidence of the growing pipe culture over at the BBC.

The new design is terrible. Since the cuts the BBC have made the site has become a shadow of its former self. 606 was cut, then the site dumbed down and mistakes galore. Wrong match results, goalscorers and even match reports which made you think, wow, this guy hasn't even watched the match!

I quite like the idea of JA sorting out the homepage, with some article content. This would encourage users to actually write opinionated articles instead of just WUMing each other, if they knew they could be included on the front page.

Furthermore, results and further down the line, live scores would be amazing too. Then I would have no reason to goto the dreadful BBC website at all.

Galvin

For thos that care they...They probably used a grid design principle http://grids.heroku.com/

Though it appears that many feel they have sliced the page up far too much.

We will be revamping the front page prior to our movements towards monetisation of the forum.

posted on 1/2/12

You mean you want the site to have it's own currency?

"monetisation"

12. JA606 reserves the right to remove user generated content that is not in English or uses big words that we do not understand.

Terrible. Give lots of negative feedback and hopefully they'll change it back:

Admin 1...........It is just so busy.

Ok I am viewing it on a small laptop screen, but it seems to have ignored the basic rules of website design..............

Keep it simple!

I visited another site, spawned form BBC606, and they seemed to have some advertising.

Would you look at the same sort of thing?

No, dont do this. The good thing about this website is that the layout and colour scheme ensures that not much attention is brought to the screen, which is good for people working in offices etc.

Also the yellowness is blinding me. Not to mention how I got used to clicking the stories on the right and now they've moved it to the left.

Exactly biggish

Have a read of this

They're all saying the same thing. Too much clutter. Looks like a cheap version of the Sky Sports website.
