I know what you mean, but it takes a great deal of strength of character to sort out problems man to man, ideally they should have sorted it on the day, but Evra and Suarez both hid behind their clubs.
They are both to blame in my view, but LFC is more important than any one player and what ever way we look at it our good name has been damaged in this episode.

----------------------------------------------
Well yes, I agree with this.
just this culture deems racial abuse to me worth than any other type of abuse.
-------------------------------------
quite rightly so.
personal abuse is just that - personal. it's against one person, the person who has riled you.
racial abuse is against the whole race.
Always the victims, it's never your fault.
I want to say that it is not my intention to stir the pot; I purposely didn't post this on the rag board.
I honestly don't understand why people are vilifying Suarez on the word of a man who has already admitted to lying about his public accusations (the 10 times bit) of racism, and who already has a track record for being untrustworthy.
Before this incident would anyone, hand on heart, describe Evra as a man of integrity? x
quite rightly so.

No. That's a lie.
If i call somebody big nose, I am not calling everybody big nose.
If I call somebody a black whatever, I am not calling every black person it.
The abuse of physical appearance be it hair colour, eye colour, skin colour or any other form is no better or worse than any other abuse.

fred, I'm sorry, but they're not even close to the same thing.
look, your player did wrong - and has apologised for it. leave it at that and let it go away.
trying to defend him saying he did nothing wrong when he has apologised for doing something wrong is silly.
comment by Stretford_Ender85 (U10955)
Evra's evidence changed and wasn't consistent either. It was therefore unreliable and after the previous case, which he has previous, this added to that fact. This case should have been thrown out, with a stern warning for both parties.
Stretford
If we feel our player had been wrongly accused, we had every right to show our support for him.
Actually racial abuse can be dangerous, as it could be as a result of hate towards a particular hate. That's why you have to be very careful.
I agree with Barnes when he said that punishment doesn't take away "hate"/ change the mind of racist. Educating them is the best way...
That's why I think the FA did an awful job.
LFC fans still bleating on about Suarez being innocent, the Panel being biased...blah blah blah.
Utterly pathetic.
Prepared to believe a man who lied to his manager and bosses is innocent just because he said he was innocent.
Prepared to believe a man whose evidence was contradicted by the video/linguistic evidence.
Your owners have stepped in and acted honourably by drawing this all to an end, showing humility and leadership Shame the fans are not able to act like men but still peddle the same "he's innocent" bullshi.t. Keep dragging your clubs name through the dirt, it might help you forget that you're in 7th place, being caught by those below and closer to 20th than you are to 1st
oh where is the morality?!
-------------
The morality (or rather lack of) lies with the fact that Suarez lied to those who had backed him to the hilt. Did Kenny Dalglish deserve to be lied to by Suarez after all he had ever done was defend Suarez and maintain his innocence?

Agree 100%
In this country we favour one sort of abuse over another in terms of punishment, but how can we know what is more hurtful for one that the other?
There are some black people I have known to joke about their race with others while some people would take exception. There are some who joke about their weight while some want to harm themselves at a comment being made.
It's all about looking after your fellow man and not discriminating about what sort of abuse is worse than another.
TOOR.
For your information, Suarez was found guilty

Did Suarez stand in a room with Kenny and decide to shake Evra's hand, knowing that in fact he wouldn't shake Evra's hand.
Did Suarez agree to shake Evra's hand but when it came to it, he actually couldn't go through with it?
Is this then a lie, or a change of heart? Is this not your honour or your self-respect kicking in, when you believe somebody has purposely wronged you?

yes I know that, this is what the uproar is about. Jeez, some people are shockingly stupid.
Does the OP trust Suarez?
Considering he has lied to the club and his manager regarding the handshake?
You don't feel harshly treated. It's called denial and tribal loyalty. But it's easier to admit the former.
He was charged, then investigated and then found guilty by an independent panel on the FA.
That's conclusive enough for me. But they're are all wrong too right?
If proof was still even needed (not for me) that Suarez racially abused Evra then the reaction of Evra at the final whistle on saturday confirmed it for me. That was not the actions of a liar. That was a real release of emotion. No faking in that. There for all to see.
And Boris....well done sir for not letting your dislike of United cloud your judgement like this clown has.
