no england pacers were quite quick. I remember pakistan series. anderson, and broad were hitting 85mph quite regularly.

and seam bowling has been ineffective in this match anyway. why do u think india opened with a spinner? seam bowlers in this match are only useful after the ball gets old to get some reverse swing.

this pitch was always hard to score fast on, and sehwag scored at sr of 100. he is going to be the difference if at all we have to chase a big total

great to see a fight back from Cook & Prior today....just need to sit in for ten overs tomorrow without losing either & we are home for a draw I reckon...

Going to be so tired at work tomorrow. Getting up at 4am for the past 4 days and tomorrow is going to take it's toll.

I normally switch the tv on at about 6.45am when I'm up for work. If I see Cook and Prior still batting, I'll be happy.

Ya gotta laugh.........all the chest beaters are coming out of the wood-work all of a sudden...come 1-2 wickets and it will fall back to the faithful couple whom are at least willing to put pen to paper...

The good news is one numpty against spin in Bell won't be playing in the 2nd test as he's going back to the uk but that means Morgan and Bairstow might play and both are not the best against spin in sub cont.

Congratulations to India...Now lets see some close exciting cricket from here on hopefully..

england need to review their tactics. playing 3 seamers should be a no. bring in finn and panesar, and bairstow as well.

Pujara reminds me of how dravid used to be a team player. after batting for like a day and a half went to short leg, and then opened the batting with sehwag.

He is a very gd batsman, and I would expect the likes of tendulkar dhoni, gambhir and kohli back to scoring runs in mumbai.

Knowing full well that England would be beaten sorry so decided not to post before the match so that he cannot be accused of hiding

England lasted longer than many predicted. If they can improve their showing, the rest of the tests could be much closer affairs.

Congratulations to India. 1 down 3 to go.
