I'm saying if they ask to leave, Klopp lets them go regardless.

Fabinho probably being the only exception

Fair enough although not sure how Fabinho is an exception. He asked to leave and was allowed to do so.

It's about framing isn't it - I seriously doubt we'd replace Salah's goals/assists with a single player but Nunez should really be helping that burden, and you think would score more than Boddy did. Maybe naive but I'm not panicking about him eventually leaving though I will sincerely miss him, that Mane Firmino Salah trio was such a glorious period, easily the best football I've ever seen

Already replaced him m8, the names Doaks

Most likely scenario but we don't really know the full details because it wasn't drawn out like the others

We'll be sniffing around Carlos Baleba in a year or two then
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Will end up being someone we haven't heard about at this point. Like Zito Luvombo or some such anonymous player.

We can't be sure but it was widely reported Fab wanted the move.

Was it? I might have completely missed it tbh

I only follow Joyce & Reddy on this stuff. Ornstein is another one. Maybe Lynch too. Then Bascombe and all the others don't really say much until it is all but confirmed.

To me he did look like he wanted out last season

Still like Adeyemi as the next Salah.

Yeah I think instead of trying to find a 20 goal & 10 assist player, which is going to be incredibly hard to do, you aim for a 10 goal & 10 assist one and back Nunez to be your new 20+ goal a season player.

Replacing Salah's creativity is going to be more important than his goals I think.

Well, perhaps they didn't say he wanted the move but he was open to the move and also reportedly agreed personal terms before Liverpool accepted an offer.

Already replaced him m8, the names Doaks

I can absolutely see us going big money for Bowen you know, and it would be about £60mn or something like that

Quite like Bowen.

Surprisingly two footed, can play across the front three, scores different types of goals and works his nuts off. Being HG doesn't hurt either.

Two days injured in 2020 for a knock apparently, zero games missed as it was in July

I think he'd be more than £60m though. Two years left on his contract mind, so maybe not.

posted on 29/8/23

That means next year it'll be one year left. And we know Klopp loves him.

That goal he scored against Brighton the other day was remarkably similar to the one Salah scored against them during the covid season - looping cross from the left, one touch to kill the ball, direct into the bottom left of the goal all while running.

According to the mirror Liverpool have identified Joao Felix as a replacement for Salah and are willing to reinvest 68m of Salah's free to get him from Atletico.

We do know the details. It's there for us to read from Klopp's mouth himself. Both Henderson and Fabinho came to talk to him and asked to be allowed to leave.

If we want Doak to replace Salah then it's best to send him out on loan

You need to stop reading speculation on Twitter and get your info from the horses mouth. This is why half the people on here work themselves up into a frenzy as they believe everything they read of Twitter. Klopp literally stated both Henderson and Fabinho came to speak to him and when he heard about the deals on offer he realised there was nothing he could do.

I would see Bowen as more of a back up, like Jota who gets games but not as a Salah replacement. Although who knows, Nunez might kick on and start banging in crazy numbers and therefore Bowen compliments it, rather than being expected to hit Salah numbers.

Absolute nonsense. Firstly he's crap from the right and secondly not how Klopp likes his wide players. If anything he'd be a Klopp false nine which we already have in Gakpo.

posted on 29/8/23

Yeah what we really need is another player than is best in the central position because Nunez, Gakpo, and Jota isn’t enough…
