If we want Doak to replace Salah then it's best to send him out on loan
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why? He'll get the games you said Diaby would get if we had signed him.
The team will definitely have to evolve past Salah instead of trying to find a like-for-like replacement
And we've already started imo
Also you don’t need to replace Salah with another player with his output, we just need more from the other forwards.
save this talk for next summer
Dream scenario would be to sign Adeyemi in January, allow him to get used to the team with Salah off in the summer.
I’d fully support Salah wanting to leave for Saudi next year, completely understand why he’d want to back football in the Middle East.

No harm discussing tbh
No chance Felix btw, his team know how to agitate for big-money moves so I wouldn't trust any talk there

Diaby has played in Germany and France in "mens" football while Doak has a few sub cameos which don't account to much.
Send Doak to one of the Red Bull clubs and he will come back a different player.
Doak needs to be getting first team minutes this season or we should send him on loan and not waste pivotal years of his development
Doak is still 17, too early for a loan I think

We’ve been generally quite crap at it in the past and struggled after Torres and Suarez left but it’s very possible.
Look at Bayern, Lewandowski gets 35 league goals (50 total) the year before he goes to Barca.
Bayern finish top with 97 goals scored. Lewa leaves and they only score 5 less league goals, but nobody scores more than 17.
If Salah leaves and we get 15/16 goals from Nunez, Jota, Diaz, Salah’s replacement then we’ll be absolutely fine.
Comparing Doak to Diaby ffs
Doak is talented but years away from being good enough to play regularly for us.

Which is fine, but why aren't those players getting those goals anyway? That thought process leads to the view that somehow Salah is inhibiting other forwards scoring, which he isn't.
I kind of get it, but practically, not so much.

According to the mirror Liverpool have identified Joao Felix as a replacement for Salah and are willing to reinvest 68m of Salah's free to get him from Atletico.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Absolute nonsense. Firstly he's crap from the right and secondly not how Klopp likes his wide players. If anything he'd be a Klopp false nine which we already have in Gakpo.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly. We would never sign him, even to replace Firmino.
I think Diaz could hit 15 if he has a full season, he's looked very on it in the few games so far.
Salah out
Mbappe in
Easy.
"Which is fine, but why aren't those players getting those goals anyway?"
Come on Hoody. That's like saying why didn't Firmino score as much as Mane & Salah. We all know why.

What I'm saying is, getting other yo just score more doesn't really make sense does it.
A system is always developed to get your best goalscorers in the best possible positions to get their goals

We really don't know because the system isn't geared to getting say Diaz, or whoever plays LW, into the same scoring positions as Salah, Jota or Nunez
Although, this season specifically, Salah is being asked to play a more creative role and it looks like (to me) both wide players are being asked to make runs inside when the ball is on the opposite wing.
Will it result in output differences? Only time will tell

The team is built to get Salah (our best goalscorer by some distance) into the best positions on the end of the chances created by the team.
Salah is constantly the furthest forward so we can use his pace on the counter...or at least get him into good scoring positions when the opposition is still getting back into shape
