Last fm i played was 2020, 141 hours in it.

I download it every year and barely ever look at it.

Started FM24 only last week after downloading it when it first came out. Messed around with Liverpool for a bit, was too easy so went for Linfield. Got them to quater finals of Europa League in second season, which was some achievement. No team from the league had even qualified for group/league stages of European competition before, although Larne just achievement it in real life last night. Apparently they receive £2.5m just for qualifying which is massive for them.

Anyway more importantly I'm in the fourth season with Linfield and we're struggling to keep hold of players who mostly will only sign a one year contract in the beginning. Currently third in the Europa League table and downloaded a skin to instant result the league and cup games as I was winning them by sixes and sevens every match.

I expect qualification for CL next season which will be massive in terms of money coming in and attracting better players although I may have to put myself on another black out before then

Luckily my wife and I both use the computer for work when working from home so no day time playing!

To be fair we still haven't had the usual "Liverpool are expecting a quiet day apart from outgoings" that we usually get from journos on deadline day.

Makes me think we're at least trying for somebody.

I doubt we sign anybody but you never know.

I really like the Mama and Chiesa signings but it’s been a pretty poor window generally, that lack of a number 6 will undoubtedly cost us a few points in both the CL and PL.

Self control man! When I was single I could game all night or drink for days but once the family life began it was family and therefore work first. So limited gaming and drinking!

Currently going through a little relapse, had a few late nights with gaming and tonight I've arranged for a mate to come visit, since we bought a house several weeks ago, which will involve drinking and spontaneous fun, ie arguing about football and music.

I guess back on track from Sunday!

Yeah, I'm pretty good with self control these days. Two kids under 2 and a demanding job mostly do that for me now. But FM is probably something that would just suck me in if I got properly into it. Haven't played any since 2006, maybe 2008? So it'd probably be overwhelming tbh. Might just get Champ Man 01/02 as abandonware and smash through that.

not sure how i'd rate it out of 10, not against any of the signings nor the sales, but we didnt address the obvious position

Anyway I'm offering odds of 5/7 that Nat Phillips will still be at the club by the end of the window - any takers?

It is rather frustrating Zubimendi changed his mind at the last minute in favour of mountains or this would have been a very good window I think.

As it is, it's merely a 5/10.

Got back into it with FM 23 and then got FM 24. 24 is broken imo as it's ridiculously easy. The easiest of any of the previous versions I've played.

Yeah that's why I went with Linfield. I feel like tactics are overpowered or perhaps the AI is underpowered. I often get results against big European clubs with Linfield. Second season and I had beaten Roma, Real Sociedad, Villa and Leipzig by making obvious tweaks depending on what they are doing.

It's a 4 out of 10 for me.

I'll drop that to a three if Badgertits ioaned out and we don't bring anyone in

I'm happy with the Carvalho sale.
I'm happy with the van den Berg sale.

The Chiesa deal I really like and the keeper signing is good future planning.

As it stands not getting a DM or a CB could prove very costly in a long season after international competitions.

I played slot tactics and it worked a treat. High pressing inside support wise players, two DMs two wing back attacking fullbacks with low crosses into the box.

2 full seasons winning everything and unbeaten in season 3 and 4. Banged it off as it was an absolute doddle.

I play FM mobile these days. It's nothing on the full version but it helps kill time when I need to

sam johnstone for 10m to wolves. wtf is with prem teams, so many of them with sheit keepers and paying good money for them.

Merino out injured for a few weeks just after joining Arsenal.

Maybe Arsenal's injury luck will change this season... Apart from Timber and Partey I can't really think of many injuries that they suffered last year?
