It’s why I think we need to beat Spurs, especially now the gap to Chelsea has been cut to not much. Lose or draw there, with Chelsea almost guaranteed to beat Everton then we could go into second place which is gut wrenching considering how clear we were.

Upcoming fixtures for Chelsea are easy on paper but that only means they'll have a tough time in the new year. Perhaps Maresca somewhat runs out of steam eventually like he did at Leicester, and Chelsea get dragged back into a race for top 4.

Wouldn't say Chelsea are guaranteed to beat Everton.

They've got 4 clean sheets in their last 5 games and haven't lost at home since August.

We have 3 left backs out on loan in Beck, Chambers and Scanlon. Beck scored last game too but can't tell you if any are good enough.

If Robinson wasn't 27, he would have been the ideal Robbo replacement. He bullied our right side.

Ait Noori is not having a good season but he has age on him.

Kerkez will be in demand but I like him.

Didn’t realise Robinson was that ‘old’. He’s a really good LB, but no way we would pay the fee needed at his age, he’s about three years too old for us.

Tbh I think Fred is probably quite restrained compared to most social media

I don't see how we can rest VVD if Gomez is covering LB which he pretty much has to do. Gives Grav and Mo the night off though and if the game is won then maybe have the likes of Endo, Morton and Nyoni come on. Perhaps even the rumour, Chiesa. Or have Danns on the bench, he seemed to enjoy playing Southampton last year!

What does everyone think is our best front 3 when they’re all fit? I would say Salah-Jota-Gakpo. Still don’t think Nunez and Diaz can play together.

Guess it depends if we have someone lined up for January, which I have a feeling we do. I’d be very disappointed if we didn’t, considering Slot couldn’t have spelt it out any more clearly that he doesn’t rate Endo whatsoever, and Grav will burn out at some point if we keep playing him so much.

I always go into Jan windows doubting we'll do business but unless Zubi has done a 180 (which I believe the Times reported he has) then I don't see us signing a CM.

This might just be recency bias but if we sign anyone then I think it'll be a defender. Either a LB or a CB who is comfortable at LB.
