So basically its "we done nothing wrong. Its all their fault"
Not a surprise for madrid to say that.
Sc ums
Who'd have thought that Ballague is the one backing us on SSN against a spanish club.
Where is this statement published, out of interest? Strange that it seemingly refers to United in the second person.
How unusual,we done nothing wrong.

Will we be releasing a statement on the matter?
"Real Madrid, in the eventuality of a contentious course of the transfer of the player, decided to refer the contract to the Professional Football League, even knowing that the deadlines had expired. "
This is where they're being unclear though. What does that relate to? If there was real reason to fully blame United - this item is the one that would have been made very clear.
All a cover-up / complete rooster-up their end if you ask me...
Quelle surprise as we say over here.
Why didn't they bid for him in July and agree a price and a deal then.
Surely it wasn't to get him at a knockdown price.
Spanish media will buy it though, and possibly ours too.
Ballague is an Espanyol fan so don't think he cares about Madrid or Barca
Real Madrid's reaction is priceless. This saga gets better by every minute.

Well they are the reason he's in a well paid job.
Why are people acting as thought its definitely madrid's fault it hasn't gone through, if that's their official statement they will have evidence of the times. So seems like they did try.

Thanks, UP. Having looked at the Spanish text, it seems there's no 'you' in there - just Google translate getting it a bit wrong.
Seems strange that a club desperate to sign a player, fouls up on the paperwork.
More like a coronation street plot.
Just one of those things probably...like leaving your packing to the last minute and the taxi arrives and you a re still throwing your stuff in a suitcase and sitting on it to try and close it. meanwhile the clock is ticking and you could miss your flight !
They bid too late really..only got themselves to blame. Only made one official bid so it just shows how much tapping up and leaks there are in the game.
Why are people acting as thought its definitely madrid's fault
..............
Because some people have some intelligence.
There was no reason for Madrid to leave it all this late.
They could have wrapped this all up five minutes after the window opened.

So after 3 months Real finally submit an offer for DDG which is acceptable to United. With less than 10.5 hours left of the transfer window. And 2 sets of players having to undergo medicals and agree terms. And you think they tried hard enough?

Madrid gambled by leaving it to the last day to try and get DDG cheaper.
Even if United were late with paperwork its Madrid took a chance and it backfired
Instead of penny pinching they should have paid the fee in June.
They have 35m euros for kovacic, a player they don't really need, yet not for their main target.
Faaaaack um
I'm sure we made things difficult but we all knew we were willing to sell for the right price.
