It's probably going to get worse, before it gets better.

Unfortunately, we're a greedy, power hungry species. We've been slaughtering each other, pretty much since we split off and colonized other areas of the planet.

We have a long history of being intolerant. We're very tribal and I think society has almost tried to run before it can walk, it terms of being as multi cultural as we are. There will be a level of intolerance for anything different, or that which people view as encroaching on 'their' way of life. There's going to people of an extreme nature on both sides of the coin and they will hit back at each other. It happens all the time, this is just on a slightly larger scale and is impacting us. It's like 2 gangs, someone kills a member of a rival gang, they retaliate and this goes back and forth until no one can remember who the original perpetrator was, they just dislike each other and certain members will take this further and do something violent.

It isn't just our dealing in the middle east, which has caused this. None of this is a new thing. Islam isn't the first religion to be part of it either, it's just currently the one going through the process of becoming more 'modern' so to speak.

We're going to have sections of people, who ruin it for the wider majority. Whether that be religious or non religious, we can't play nicely with each other.

It doesn't surprise me, sadly, that things like this happen.

The best we can do, is work together and attempt to be as harmonious as we can. Pass this on to those around us and future generations and maybe, they will have less issues than we and our ancestors have had.

There will always be something to squabble over though. Whether it's land, money, material items, race, background, religion etc.

Tis a shame KFC doesn't show the same outrage when non-Muslims are killed. He only seems to become vocal when someone attacks his religion. He's a racist full stop.

Is that more or less dangerous than a racist comma?

Lmfao

There's talk about lots of people being happy today, sadly that's true.

KFC probably is one of them.

I think the missing subtext is that there's a general rule that when a Muslim kills a bunch of people, he's universally described as a terrorist (whether the individual is suffering from schizophrenia or not) but when it's a white dude large sections of the mainstream media seem queasy about using the T-word. Instead they focus on the fact that the perpetrator was a loner / troubled / a nutcase. This is the double standard to which KFC was alluding.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think that is more to do with there being terrorist organisations linked to extremist Muslims.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Perhaps you can let the public know which terrorist organisation he committed this sick act on behalf of?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
You've got my comment backwards. I'm suggesting there isn't one...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry, I couldn't be bothered searching for the comment above yours.
This inevitably descends into a microcosm of what is wrong between alleged 'multicultural' Britain.
Some of us cannot concede acts of barbarism on our society as wrong and unjust whoever commits them .

I walked across London bridge 15 minutes before the attack the other week.

Last nights attack was 2 streets from my house.

I am moving to Cornwall if this carries on!!

There might not be an organisation claiming responsibility, but the guy will almost definitely have been influenced and 'inspired' by a number of organisations promoting religious and/or racial hatred.

Just because they don't speak up to claim responsibility doesn't mean they don't have any.

Words are important, language is important. Some of the language used on this thread in relation in comparison to London Bridge and Manchester is frankly disgusting. Comments like "not surprised this happened.." or "was only a matter of time..." makes it sound like the Muslim community had this coming.

I disagree, The motive for this is plain and simple revenge.

An act of terror not motivated by religion or politics but revenge.

This is a downright lie as part of an ongoing character assassination on behalf of a few users on this site of another user.

I have spent hours speaking to KFC, and while we have been in total disagreement on many issues, he is definitely not what some of you insist on painting him as.

It makes me wonder what your own true agenda is.

LQ, where do you think this guy picked up the idea that revenge for killings by ISIS terrorists could be had by driving a lorry into a crowd of innocnt people. Do you think he just plucked it out of thin air? I most certainly don't; whether it's underground organisations, talking heads on TV, or hate-filled journos pushing the anti-Islam get-out-of-my-country agenda through tabloids, it needs to be borne out.

I am not saying that these people should necessarily be jailed, but they need to be publicly shamed and deprived of any public platform from which to promote this hatred, just as that hate-preaching imam was, don't you think?

The sad thing is, like somebody said earlier, this is exactly what IS want.

We need to rally around and support the Muslim community just like we have with the others that were killed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm sure we will. Just like the Muslim community did in the aftermath of recent attacks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly this

The most important response is that of the people, and it must say that we are one, and we will never be divided.

I think that could often be used as justification for many terror attacks.

Religion and politics might get brought into it, but revenge for deaths in the middle east will often play a part.

Agree with that.

Arthur he picked up the idea for driving into a crowd of people probably from recent events.

The revenge bit covers itself, he obviously "incorrectly blamed all Muslims"

The guy is a thick as fook asshat
