Tried following this thread. But I've no idea why so many people seem to think John Terry is a cert...

If they can afford him I'd JT next port of call is Rangers.

Luckily history has shown us that great players always make great managers!

It's a bit of a shock to find Lampard as manager, I was expecting Pardew.

Well good luck Frank, you're going to need it! Crazy owner who looks like a cartoon character from the Simpsons, mismash of a squad and fickle fans waiting to turn on him when Derby aren't top two in March.

I'll get the popcorn in this is going to be funny!

Don't talk daft RFB, we will turn on him if we aren't top by Christmas.

How have your previous owners done lately? Talk about pots and Kettles.

I've just seen a bloke running up the A38 in full Derby Kit shouting Frank, Frank!!!!

As far as professionalism and intelligence go I can't think of anyone better.

Good luck to him

My brother-in-law who is a long-time Chelsea season ticket holder, huge lover and follower of the beautiful game generally and played at a decent non-league level (broke his leg in the game before Sutton Utd knocked out Coventry in FA Cup) is massively excited by this appointment and thinks it's brilliant for Derby.

He is also adamant that Lampard will not bring Terry with him.

That's good enough for me

Davis and Terry in the centre of defence.

No complaints from me.

Will last 3 months and then you'll get Steve Mclaren in again

The Man U lot and collective hangers on, are refering to Derby as a 'Starter Club' in relation to Franks appointment and prospects. Just thought I would share that with you.

When is Frank starting the job? Will it be straight away or after the World Cup?

posted on 31/5/18

Immediate effect it says on reports I've read.

Also just seen on Twitter that if Scot Carson goes to Stoke, we're getting Peter Cech.

Over this last week news of Lampard’s impending appointment got me think why I support football and DCFC in particular.
This is a risk and I think it shows that Mel is more a football romantic than business man. Which puts him where we are.
This may not be prove to be the right thing to have done when we look back in a years time.
But today we are the most talked about football club in England and judging by the posters on this thread prople from all over want to have their say.
It’s going to be interesting and being able to watch football’s boys own hero cut his teeth in management is worth the price of a season ticket on its own.

Well done Mel you’ve played a blinder.
