Who tf calls him Sandor and not The Hound lol
Seriously, why were they fighting on stairs?
It's sound like such a silly complaint but it made the camera work so awkward, like they were determined to challenge themselves or something..... just why?

What was the point? What's the point in build up to an epic battle when all they needed was a single dragon? What's the point of an army that enters the first 100 meters of a city and does nothing else? What was the point of Jon Snow and Arya in this episode when they just enter a city to a certain point and then turn around and walk back? What was the point of showing small bursts of wildfire when it lead to nothing? What was the point of Euron's fleet killing a dragon in a previous episode when in this one they could even hit him once before getting completely wrecked? What was the point of Dany's madness when you built her up as a mercyful and intelligent leader for 7 seasons? What was the point of Jaime leaving Cersei and showing character development just to have him go back and die with her? What was the point in having Cersei this mean badass villain that even gets to be the final boss after Night king, just to have her stand around doing nothing until she dies.
What was the point of any of this?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There was a point to Arya to be fair, most of the rest less so.
What they’ve done with Tyrion and Varys is the worst thing though and symptomatic of the whole show. The two most interesting and complex characters, they have to dumb down and take away everything that made them (and the show) great in the first place in order to rush through the set pieces.
Just watched the preview for episode 6 and is Dany able to just spawn in soldiers like it's a video game
We were shown 90% of her forces wiped out just 2 episodes ago and now she has thousands of unsullied and dothraki.

How come these God damn ballista's had a lock on feature in the last episode when the plot demanded it but now are absolutely useless
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The same way Arya was somehow able to call on her ninja training and cat-like reflexes in the previous episode at Winterfell, but then reduced to a panicking civilian plodding through the streets of King's Landing.
Still enjoyed the episode though.
Actually one aspects of that episode that has to be praised was Lena Headley's acting. The Cersci character was mugged in that episode (worse than TNK), but the expressions on her face when she realized she f***ed up, when she saw Jamie, their moment before being buried under the rubble. She sold Dany's villainy more than anything Emilia Clarke was doing throughout the entire episode, I genuinely felt sorry for her.
Best actor/actress in the entire series. Only Tyrion & Joffrey come close to her performance over the entire duration of the series.

I would also add Ramsay to that list.
I'm still not done seething at the lack of any logical strategy during the night king battle.
"Alright guys, we are here to defend at all costs. What's that? Can't see what's out there? Let's send a whole unit out there charging. It's cool they have fire swords"
"Great! The witch has lit the trench!! I think...I don't know I can't really see. Now that the dead are stopped in their tracks let's.....attack....the....back.... 🤔 That'll learn em!"
still mad rhaegal got sniped out the sky perfectly but hundreds more of those machines cant touch drogon, guess the professionals had a day off
This could all have been avoided had Cersei just killed everyone with her magic aimbot crossbows when she had the chance last episode.
Still trying to figure out how the ships had a clear line of sight of the dragons and time to aim and shoot, while the dragons' view was blocked by a tiny hill.
Also it's too bad scouts suddenly no longer exist in that world.

d&d literally said after that episode in the aftershow thing that 'dany forgot about the iron fleet'
no even kidding
Riiiiight. They even busted out the map and had little stand in figurines of the opposition. What a pointless scene.
That was a poor episode. Sure Danny has become the mad queen but that was way over the top. Taking out the whole city when the castle was right in front of her.
Also an anticlimactic battle. Last week we see Greyjoy with this new arrow equipment but in this episode the dragon takes them all out in 2 mins. The dragon had the battle won right from the start.
On to Cersi who was this queen biaatch. Huge buildup about her character and she dies with a whimper.
I guess the show completely ignored the Valonqar prophecy from the books?
Great episode, epic.
Facked kings landing, kills euron, cersei’s World falls apart, she’s left a mess, qyburn facked, mountain v sandor, quality stuff.
Loved that. Made up for the depressing last episode. Thought there might be more even fight, that was a massacre
How do they finish it?
Mountain vs The hound was epic. “Why won’t you fecking die!!”
Reckon Jon will kill Danerys using Drogon. After all he’s the proper heir to the targyerean right? He should be able to control the dragon
Bit disappointed that a lot of character arcs seem to have totally been thrown out the window. Why the fack would Jaime go back to Cersei?

After being thrown about by Brienne for a night he preferred the softer touch of his sister, thought that was pretty clear.

Mike, speaking from experience..
I liked it tbh. Each to their own I suppose.
My only worry is there will be a whole lot left unexplained. There is still so much that doesn't make sense regarding Bran, Night King etc. Imposible to fit it all into one episode now.
