Some common sense and straight thinking applied by the Dutch here, yes it is unfair on a handful of clubs, but it would be unfair on many many more clubs if their season was concluded in any other way.
This decision limits damage to an absolute minimum and is the correct course of action for the vast majority.
Don bud, you are sounding more and more like a Mouser with every passing day, we are Spurs fans, we do not abandon our team at the first sign of problems, we follow our team through thick and thin and are not the type of people who jump on bandwagons.

Honestly if Spurs were top I’d be fuming with what’s happened (in football terms, I recognise people’s health and the economy is more important). No title awarded, league positions stand, and no relegation.

I propose the season gets bloody completed so it’s fair and not unjust. Voiding a season has now f*** the chances of that small club gaining promotion and getting the royalties that come with it. How would you feel if that was you’re club and that was the reason why it went bust for instance ? The season should be completed when safe to do so, ie behind closed doors for now. It’s the only fair way of concluding it. Completely unjust and unfair.

What is the point of that, clubs could have entirely different squads to when the league started, players out of contract, the transfer window etc, completely unfair and in no way right and proper.
UEFA need to do the right thing and cancel all European competitions for next season, this will solve a lot of problems, it allows leagues to follow the Dutch course of action without worrying about deciding league placings fairly.

That’s correct there are no champions or relegation, but the league standings currently are counting so who ever is in the top 2 get a champions league place. So Spurs would finish 8th and not get European football.

Just my opinion but thats total bollox.
They are quite rightly saying the table means naff all as nothing has been settled when it comes to who wins it or goes down yet they'll use it for European places.
I don't think Spurs will qualify for the cl in their remaining 9 games in the same way that I don't think Norwich will stay up but if the season isn't completed we'll never know for sure.

As we all do mate, I’m fed up of it.
Sorry but fack Spurs in terms of what this means. If it means we don't get European football then frankly I couldn't give a shet. There is no possible scenario that comes out of this fairly except the season restarts ay some point WITH fans in the stadium. It one other scenario is fair. Therefore, if they are going to cancel the season then only anything already mathematically confirmed should stand. I don't agree with WBA and Leeds getting promotion just because they were ahead. There were other teams that could have gained automatic promotion and also play off places.
Its a mess. I just seriously hope this lock down ends ASAP as things are changing in the country for the worse because of it. I'm not saying its not needed but it's not sustainable for much longer.

That’s correct there are no champions or relegation, but the league standings currently are counting so who ever is in the top 2 get a champions league place. So Spurs would finish 8th and not get European football.

Just my opinion but thats total bollox.
They are quite rightly saying the table means naff all as nothing has been settled when it comes to who wins it or goes down yet they'll use it for European places.
I don't think Spurs will qualify for the cl in their remaining 9 games in the same way that I don't think Norwich will stay up but if the season isn't completed we'll never know for sure.

I don’t get it, what happens to the European places in the Dutch league ? If the season standings are not counting, then who gets the CL and Europa places ?

Either no European footie next season, remembering that Cl and Europa qualification should start in July.
Or take last season positions.
I know some think thats unfair on Shef U, Leicester and Wolves but nothing is mathematically certain so using the current standings would be a legal disaster.

I think the current standings are being used mate in the Dutch league. So for all the Spurs fans wishing the season to be void, it’s going to f** Us, as we will finish in 8th and not get any European football judging by that.

To be honest Don, I don`t really care about European football. I just want this virus over and done with, so I can carry on with all the outdoor activities I usually do.

Sorry but fack Spurs in terms of what this means. If it means we don't get European football then frankly I couldn't give a shet. There is no possible scenario that comes out of this fairly except the season restarts ay some point WITH fans in the stadium. It one other scenario is fair. Therefore, if they are going to cancel the season then only anything already mathematically confirmed should stand. I don't agree with WBA and Leeds getting promotion just because they were ahead. There were other teams that could have gained automatic promotion and also play off places.
Its a mess. I just seriously hope this lock down ends ASAP as things are changing in the country for the worse because of it. I'm not saying its not needed but it's not sustainable for much longer.
