Interesting stat on on that the UK have had less deaths per 100,000 people than Spain Italy and Belgium. Think people are too obsessed with TOTAL DEATHS, when in reality this figure doesn’t tell the whole story.

the governments chief scientific adviser ladies and gents

Hunt: Why didn't you model death rates with test, track and trace from the outset?

Vallance: I can't remember why.

I’m sure the whole story is far far worse.

Remember how we all looked on in horror at Italy two months ago.

The government had so many warnings. Keeping pubs, shops and schools open so long when we all knew it was spreading. Giving all the idiots one last night at the pub

Now they’re blatantly lying about testing figures and people just lap it up. I’m not convinced even this will damage the tories.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think the only thing that stands a chance of damaging the Tories will be the economic consequences of this situation and Brexit.

The trouble is, they have successful ran an anti-media campaign with this; so now somehow people think the news is untrustworthy but will lap up political spin from those in charge. Where a politician can lie or fiddle figures, but it will be the media that are criticised for challenging, asking questions or criticising it. Much like with the idiot over the pond.

It's like living in the prelude to a dystopian novel.

Would suit your argument of course. I’m sure things will become clearer once we’re completely out of this, probably sometime next year. I think each country has probably though they haven’t done enough.

Interesting. Vallance says initially trace/test efforts were focused on people coming in from China but they subsequently realised that in the early stages there were lots of cases coming in from "multiple European sources" from late Feb, detected early March.

Tory spin and propaganda has been on point the last few years.

Whatever you think of Johnson he is nothing like Trump. Trump just shouts 'fake news' at a question he doesn't like.

he's everything like Trump, everything

Yep.

Both full of $hit chancers completely out of their depth.

Sadly the stats don’t lie.

Most of our professional, fourth estate, questioners provide the Government with a safe space.

Look at the political editor of the national broadcaster, she's built a career of parroting official spin from her 'senior Downing Street official'.

If Johnson or his ministers received the scrutiny their non-answers deserved rather than the soft soap the actually get, do you really believe they wouldn't cry 'fake news' ?

My mate just told me about a group of 20 lads breaking into a power league for a football tournament in Mile End. I cannot believe there are still people who aren’t taking this seriously at all. Even when people’s lives depend on it, some really can’t seem to use common sense and stay away.

Wow that's surprising! One if the largest populations in the EU has one on the highest death tolls.
Who would have thought?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hasn’t Germany got the largest population
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Glad someone pointed this out. Kind of destroys the point being made about population.

So selfish.

We’re all bored and want to see our families and mates, but we can’t

This country is massively over populated, there are way too many people per square metre living here, we were always going to be hard hit. That is the fault of previous governments, not the current one.
