I think it's because some people are fed up with the gesture and that it doesn't have that much of an impact on the actual issue itself. I don't know why the fans are booing to be honest when it's the "fans" who cause the issue (not them specifically but those who take the time out to racially abuse somebody I mean).

Because some people think that when people support "Black Lives Matter" it automatically means you're saying white lives/all lives don't matter.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If that's the mentality God help us all.
That's such an idiotic mindset that it's bound to be true sadly. Damn.
Some people think that they're a bunch of Marxists because they kneel

Yeah I'm baffled to. I get that it's not doing much in the grand scheme of things. But it signifies that racism is not right and hurtful. It's common sense so the booing for. Me makes no sense?

Because taking the knee is linked to BLM. BLM clearly are a political organisation who have some pretty far left goals such as ending capitalism, ending the nuclear family, defunding the police, its all on the websites both in the UK and US. The founders of BLM are self avowed "trained marxists" so yeah, not something anyone should be supporting.
Ask yourself this. If the booing was racist why did the same fans always clap for the Kick it Out pre-game announcement - which is clearly a charity and not a political movement?

Is it specifically a BLM thing or has it been twisted to now look like/is a part of the BLM.
At the end be of the day EVERY LIVES MATTER. Black, Brown or White.
Racism has no place in this day and age. I can't believe it still is a problem. God only knows if it will ever go away 😓
Because people are entitled to different viewpoints.
If people associate taking the knee with the BLM movement and take umbridge to the BLM political movement it's a fair leap.
I personally don't associate the two but I also think it's an incredibly futile gesture. The whole point wss doing it during the American national anthem.
But watch these idiots stand up for their national anthems then kneel down afterwards.
It's just diluting what the likes of Colin Kaepernick was trying to acheive in the first place.
Think many aren't happy because this isn't going away, or happening in the background like other initiatives.
Players and managers have explained why they are doing it, so not sure why you would boo somebody for supporting their colleagues who are routinely racially abused by supposed football fans, beyond broader issues regarding racism in society.
Conflating it with BLM, and then Marxism, gives them what they believe is a legitimate reason to boo, even though taking the knee was prevelant well before BLM, and most of them haven't the first clue what Marxism is.
There is simply no logical explanation for booing players taking the knee, other than racism.
Players don't give a f*ck about the political implications, they are simply showing support for victims of racism. And I hope they continue to take the knee and highlight the systemic racism in our country.
I do think it's because taking the knee is seen as an attachment to BLM.

Sport over the years has done a hell of a lot of good in terms of politics and advancing of peoples ideas. Sport and Politics should go hand in hand if it advances our society.

He did that by being a good bloke and playing the game well. Not by some overt show supporting a particular political organisation.

That sounds pretty bigoted to me.
It's quite clearly political. Southgate is doing his best to distance the team from it. It won't go down well.
You can't really blame the players, they're not built for politics and they're obviously not aware of their actions.
If we start badly and the fans start booing the players it could turn a bit hostile. Especially in the pubs etc.
It's so divisive. But that's exactly what BLM the organisation set out to achieve.
It's a huge mess. It's a shame.
