Bruno wants more players, just like all of us, but what you don't seem to get is, it has to be the right player/s. The are many factors involving a transfer and it's not as easy as you may be suggesting.

Looks to me like city have five regular starters injured today but yet fielded a very strong side and a pretty strong bench.

Anyone wanna take a stab at our bench if we lost five regular starters?

And there Cinci goes again. Man city have spent a fortune building their squad, over a much longer timescale.

And with those out we are naming a very weak bench? Is that even a debate?

What cracks me up about this debate(i begrudge calling it that as it is so dumb) is that what i, blackcountry and others are saying is exactly what Bruno is saying but yet we are all just wanting to throw money around

When Nuno first came to the club, he specifically stated what I mentioned above. After 4 years, the penny may have dropped.

Bruno has come and of course he wants more players, But he wants the RIGHT ones.

City have a 2, 19 year old subs, one from their Academy.

So how much should Wolves spend in January Cinci? 50million, 100million. Hell why stop there. lets just go a cool 250 million.

Oh I see an issue, I wonder if Cinci will be able to spot it?

We don't have the money throw around cinci, that's why it may be true that we have to sell the likes of Traore before we buy.

That doesn't enter into Cinci's equation. We must buy, buy, buy.

If we can get around 30m for Traore then we may be able to attract a decent midfielder or defender. We don't really need any more forwards right now.

Who the feck has ever said we have money to throw around? I have said all last season we should have sold Traore, you saying it isnt a new suggestion. In fact i have quite openly said i am peed off we didn't sell traore when he was at his top value as he was worth nowhere near the valuation.

They should spend whatever they deem possible to spend, and we alreay know they have money to spend as they tried to slend it in the summer.

I would add that given you seem to be some kind of transfer window savant, perhaps you could tell me what we can spend? It appears we can spend 35 million on unproven kids when we feel like it, not a risky strategy at all that one though eh?

I think most of us at the time thought it was a risk spending that amount on an unproven kid. But that's history now and it was when maybe money wasn't much of a problem. But times have changed and maybe events in China have had an effect on Fosun. Who knows what's going on behind the scenes?

Ground improvements seem to have stalled also, even though that doesn't effect the FFP rules.

I guess all will be revealed in January. But right now, I'm quite happy with the squad that's got us to 6th in the table, despite injuries.

So now you understand the concept of budgeting.

Now all you have to understand now, is spending that budget wisely, and not wasting it, which may mean not signing anyone. It would not mean it's a crap window.

Oh Cinci, it was full of patronisation. it was supposed to be.

As for Fabio, as has been said everyone raised their eyebrows at the money spent on an 18 year old. The jury is still out on how successful it will be. But I can appreciate what Wolves were trying to do.

The worst case he moves on for around 20 million, best case he goes on to realise his potential, and Wolves have grabbed a bargain.
