I read into all this that , there will be no real ground improvement and nothing of substance spent on improving the team.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
You’re not wrong boston. We desperately need investment from somewhere or we’re going to see some fall back on and off the pitch.
My reading of that is that it was published in 2012 and a lot of those objectives in terms of city centre redevelopment, bus station, Stan Cullis stand, railway station- not quite finished it seems to me, have been achieved, so the vision 9 years ago has borne some fruit but I don’t live there so can’t say any more , I do not know when this plan will be reviewed and updated
Yes that's nearly 10 years old now and pre Fosun. Would be interesting to get an update on those plans and which as far as wolves are concerned were approved and ready to be implemented before the double dip. relegation. Do the uni need more campus space? Where do Asda come in to it ? Do we need some of their land for the planned expansion or is it more about access?

“I absolutely get that the focus has to be on investing in the squad first and foremost”
We haven’t been doing that though have we? Maybe we’re going to splash some cash in January π§
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was quoting little Jeff when he was asked by Johnny Phillips if there would be any money spent on the stadium. I strongly suspect that the January signing will be Hwang and probably little else. The situation isn't desperate so we'll probably get the usual, "oh it's difficult to bring in new players in January".
Yes that plan is 10 years old but it was always a 15 year plan and the broad objectives haven’t changed. We have now seen the development of the train and bus stations outlined in those plans.
But as I said Wolves are now embroiled in the master plan process and can’t therefore come out unilaterally and say what they are going to do with Molineux, and when. A major step forward won’t happen until the plans for the development of all the Molineux locality has been finalised. And Wolves are just one of many organisations involved in that process
Wolves have only three senior midfield players to choose from at the moment. Neves and Moutinho are very much first choices with Dendoncker as cover. They are now assessing whether two players are ready to be considered first team contenders. Bruno Jordao is now back in full training and will spend the next 6 weeks training with the first team before a decision is taken on if he stays with the group or goes on loan. And Luke Cundle has been getting rave reviews for the U23s. He is now captain of that group and may be ready to step up
How long until the 'it will be like a new signing' line gets trotted out?
Not expecting much in January but it would be nice to make a strong signing for a much needed position.
Saw Rafa Mir score for Seville last night in the Champions League against Wolfsburg to give them a chance of qualifying for the next stage. Can't remember what we got for him but Seville probably got a bargain given the current market.
Yeah for sure. Wasn't it like 15 million? He is a starter for them already and they actually have a genuine chance of winning the title this season.

I think we got Fabio Silva's right leg for him.
I think the deal for Mir got us €15m. Seville gave him a 6 year contract
Talking of players that got away, the success story of Pedro Goncalves in Portugal continues. Last season he won Portugal’s young player of the year for the second year running, and scored 23 in 32 league games to make him the league’s top scorer and help Sporting Lisbon to the title
This season he has already scored 9 in 13 games including two in the Champions Lesgue. At the end of October he was given a new extended contract and his buyout clause was increased to €80m
So sad to see Albion’s season fading away. They have only won 1 of their last 5 games and only scored 2 in that period. Compare that to Fulham who have won all their last 6 games scoring 21. Albion are now 8 points off the automatic promotion places and have played a game more than Fulham and Bournemouth
We do seem to have let too many players go too early, then hung onto others too long.

Sporting 2 up in the first half against Dortmund tonight and Goncalves scored both of them
Sporting have put a price of 80Mill Euros for him, Liverpool reportedly interested.
From what I've read neither Goncalves nor Mir wanted to stay at Wolves. You do wonder if both of them had been given the attention, first team integration and chances that Silva has had whether they'd have been inclined to stay.
