Sorry, I forgot Klopp managed Dortmund, not Bayern.

Because you're the thickest poster on the forum not named Ignacio Verga.

I dunno why you’re taking this so personally. It’s a bit disrespectful to Tottenham to act like Liverpool are above being compared to them. People thought the same about Real Madrid before the CL final and they pulled Liverpool’s pants downed and spanked them silly. Liverpool fans should learn to show some humility I think.

Nobody is taking it personally, nobody takes you seriously enough for that.

Many have just pointed out how wrong you are, you know nothing about football.

Liverpool are still some way ahead of us. I do think we will be closer to them, but they are still better than us right now

I'd say that Spurs will improve a lot over last season and are clearly stronger, with more depth and coming off some great form over the last few months of the season.

Liverpool went from 75 points in 17/18 to 97 the year after. They would be foolish to think that a 21 point gap could not be closed.

Liverpool are probably weaker with the loss of Mane. Unless Nunez really hits the ground running then they have lost a key part of their success over the last few seasons, and Nunez is a very different type of player, so time will be needed to get used to that.

Whether Liverpool fall back enough and Spurs improve enough to surpass them....very doubtful ! but you never know.

We are stronger with Diaz and Nunez than we were with Mane. In my opinion.

We have every chance if the referees do their jobs properly.

Yeah feels like people are forgetting Diaz will have a full season.

It's not simply a case of Mane out, Nunez in.

posted on 8/7/22

Considering Diaz took Mane's position in most games last year - that tells me a lot.

He took Jota's position didnt he?

He either started ahead of Jota or was brought on for him.

Cannot think of too many times when Diaz started ahead of or replaced Mane.

Very unlikely but obviously possible

Klopp is a far better manager than Conte though (who is excellent too), he's the best current manager in the world imo

We are stronger with Kulusevski and Richarlison having lost Bergwijn.

Yeah feels like people are forgetting Kulusevski will have a full season.

Mane started on the left pretty much until Diaz joined and then Diaz started on the left and Mane moved centrally.

Worked a treat for Mane but he played where I'd imagine Nunez will play now.

And Kulusevski isn't as good as Diaz.

But Conte, Bentancur and Kulu didn't have part of a season then ?

As for forgetting Diaz.... are Liverpool fans likely to let anyone ( much less Spurs fans ) forgot you have Diaz ?

No that's not what I said as I didn't mention Spurs.

I was merely talking about how our squad depth isn't just a case of swapping Mane with Nunez compared to previous seasons.

NO, gap will be minimum of 10 points.

I think Chelsea will finish above spurs.

Tbf Liverpool kicked on massively when they signed fabinho, vvd and one of the world's best gks. All were areas they were a bit soft. Spurs haven't signed that calibre. Not even close.

Players like matio/Robertson etc were shrewd signings, as was playing trento, but them 3 monsters.

Bissouma improves spurs. Perisic does for a year or two but it's not a given noting his age and speed of the PL.

Spurs haven't signed the same level. They will improve for sure but to get to a point where u can lose 2-3 games a year takes a great deal.

Losing Mane is hard to gauge and diaz influenced games massively when he came. Nunez, even if he takes time, klopp still has salah, diaz, firminio and Jota to pick from. Jota was a fringe player and still scored 2 Pl goals less than lane, in 1000 less minutes.

Liverool would need to have a huge injury crisis for spurs to get close. Not impossible. Not likely though. They lost 2 Pl games all season, how many did spurs lose? 😂

Not convinced Lenglet, bissouma and perisic are gonna plug that many holes so soon.

Fack me that's hypocritical from the fan base desperate to compare Kulusevski to Diaz throughout the second half of the season despite finishing 7 wins behind us...

Didn't you take 6 points off City and 2 points off us?

How's that work then?

I do too. Once they get at least 3 in only Tuchel can balls it up imo. Chelsea wbs are way stronger. Another level. They are key positions for each team too but Chelsea definitely need a goalscorer, which spurs don't really.

Chelsea have some crazy talent in there squad though already.
