In response to the original post, just what the hell did you expect them to do, the terrorists and let's be clear on what they are, just disappear into a maze of residential streets to hide away from the consequences of the crimes. It is they who have drawn the response from Israel

Israeli terrorists can just get into their armoured vehicles and return to base

The same reason why Jews were wiped out from all Arab countries. This is clearly stated in their religious texts. Something they don't like to talk about openly.
====
Explain this please
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There were hundreds of thousand of Jews living in many Arab countries prior to 1948.
Today, only a few are left in Iran - which is not an Arab country. All other Arabian countries have purged the Jews out from their midst.

With regards to the religious text, see the quote from the Quran below:

"Judgment Day will not come before the Muslims fight the Jews, and the Jews will hide behind the rocks and the trees, but the rocks and the trees will say: Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him — except for the gharqad tree, which is one of the trees of the Jews.”
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Make things up again. That’s not the Quran. If you think it is provide the Surah and ayah number. Again, showing your ignorance. It’s idiots like you that can’t get facts right so worthless having a discussion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sahih Muslim 2922.

Not the Quran but the authentic hadith was providing explanation to a Quranic verse.

Sunah.com has made things very easy to find these days. Go and check it out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Are you actually trying to pretend you know how unpack Islamic jurisprudence?

That's not my point.

I've seen the videos as well. Lots of absolutely horrific murder happened.

There are people going beyond the limits and others who just want to resist without harming civilians.

Testimony from Israelis has proven that.

If the actions of some reflect the entire group it would mean the British Army is full of rapists and murderers as well (Something I don't believe)

It's important to distinguish between the two.

I think it’s important to note that both scenarios happened, sure.

But let’s not lose perspective.

The reason I bring it up is because this grouping together delegitimises the resistance to occupational forces.

Would have said USA or Australia myself.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah we sorted everybody's shat out
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Two shining examples of continental-scale genocides. Well done.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Don't you bat for Spain?

By far the biggest slaughter of a people in the history of the planet.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry, I didn't realise that pointing out the crimes against humanity of one nation implicitly means extolling the colonial virtues of another.

Difficult for anybody to suggest or know the best solution here.

Neither side is innocent, and civilians from both sides have to suffer the consequences of their leaders. Palestine themselves have been heavily involved in the rise of civil wars in Lebanon, Egypt and Jordan.

Israel are guilty of breaking many international laws, the UN have condemned them numerous times.

You expect humane actions to be made in resistance to an inhumane occupation? I don't understand why some people aren't getting this. It's not exactly rocket sconce.

I don't think that's the point.

Mercilessly torture a population for seven decades and you'll find some of the tortured want to do it back.

That's not an endorsement for harming non-combatants, that's the reality.

Genuine question. Are the residents in Gaza free to leave the area if they want to? Are they prisoners in the Gaza Strip?

If they can leave, how?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Only way out is the Rafah Crossing into Egypt. Its a perilous journey there with the Israeli airstrikes, Hamas control the crossing and can close it off, there are rumours of Israel bombing the crossing and if they make it across Egypt have closed their borders.

Also, a lot of people won't want to leave. A lot of them have already been removed from their ancestral land and Gaza is the last part of land that they can tie to their Palestinian heritage. If they leave, they might not be allowed back after being a refugee twice removed.

So when the Israelis recommended that they leave Gaza, it was a somewhat hollow request.

No, they're not free to leave.

Israel controls their access to the ocean and surrounding boarder around Israel.

Egypt who shares a border with Gaza are dictated to by Israel, meaning they are closed off on all sides.

Gaza is one of the most densely populated place on planet earth. So when Israelis claim they give Palestinians prior warning to move out of the way before an indiscriminate arial bombardment, there is actually nowhere to go.

They know this.

What's interesting but ignored is that former Israeli Director of Military Intelligence, Major General Amos Yadlin and the former US Ambassador to Israel Richard Jones showed Israeli support for a Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip.

The Fateh party in Gaza requested aid from Israel to stop Hamas taking control. Wikileaks published a transcript detailing that Israel wanted Hamas to take control so they could regard Gaza as a hostile territory.

This is from 'The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy (Kindle Locations 2222-2230). Penguin Books Ltd. Kindle Edition.'

***Consider what Ben-Gurion [who was the first prime minister of Israel and its primary national founder] wrote in his diary on January 1, 1948, at a time when he was involved in a series of important meetings with other Zionist leaders about how to deal with the Palestinians in their midst:

“There is a need now for strong and brutal reaction. We need to be accurate about timing, place and those we hit. If we accuse a family—we need to harm them without mercy, women and children included. Otherwise, this is not an effective reaction… There is no need to distinguish between guilty and not guilty.”***

That's how Israel was established, they named an airport after him and carried on his philosophy.

Is Israeli government will pretend they brokered a humanitarian aid with Egypt and open up the border to allow them to leave. In reality it’s got F All to do with humanity because if Israel had even an ounce they’d have shown it in the last 75 years - they will see it as a way of stealing more land and fully occupy Gaza.

Has that even been independently verified? The IDF are known the lie. They killed that AJ reporter and then denied doing so. They killed Palestinians in the west bank who were attacked by settler Terrorists and when they defended themselves against the settler Terrorists, the IDF shot and killed them.

If you deny them the right to defend themselves, then these sort of actions will happen. Israel is the one who has killed and attacked Palestinians throughout this year with not a peep from the US or the UK. There is complete silence from them when settler Terrorists have been killing Palestinians under the occupation.
