Hector will just waffle on as he does, Annie will be scouring the internet to find something about the Tories and black holes!

At the end of the day Labour claimed there was a black hole but yet refuse to say how they calculated it!!!!

At present it looks like it’s a smoke screen to cover their pre election lies on taxation!

The country is obviously fooked after 14 years of gross mismanagement, Reeves thinks the workers already bear their share so she wants to even the burden.
Austerity flopped with zero growth so why not try something new, have a plan.
I haven't a clue how it will pan out but taking lectures about broken promises from a fan of the party that gave us Truss and Johnson, nah.

Like i said you’d just waffle on!

Answer me this, Why won’t the Labour Party explain this black hole created over the last 14 years to which you’re waffling on about?

Can you explain it or are you just going to throw out words without any substance like you do!

The black hole Treasury officials told Reeves about, the black hole created by all those multi-department, unfunded Tory "promises" and Hunt who " knowingly and deliberately lied" about splashing the treasury rainy day fund cash to partly subsidise the cut in NI and give landlords a tax cut that would also cost £12b a year. Yeah, no lectures please.

Here's another couple words for you, Liz Truss.

“The black hole Treasury officials told Reeves about”

Ah yes the same black hole that the Treasury refused to give details about!!

The document issued by the Treasury accounted for part of this imaginary black hole but when a freedom of information request was made for the exact breakdown of the figures it was declined.

Why do you think that was?

I'm only stating facts, civil servants explained the black hole to the newly installed Chancellor, every dept under the previous administration had plans, told us that they were definitely gonna do things but, as was their way, didn't. Their mishandling of the economy, their inability to create growth, the populist lying created this black hole.
Hunt was just on the radio saying he wouldn't have taxed business, he'd have slashed the benefits going to the sick and infirm, forced them back to work, such a compassionate conservative.

Who disagrees with that?

So when Keir goes about getting people off the sick he’s tackling worklessness!

If Hunt says it then he’s forcing them to work!

Ah almost forgot! “Who disagrees with that?”

You’ll find a lot of the Scousers won’t agree with that! 🤣

----------------------------------------------------------------------

The proof will be in what they actually deliver by 2029.

They have talked big. They have based their plans on a lot more borrowing and taxation and if that delivers real growth then it will look good and a lot of the 'politics of lies' that goes on in an election will be forgotten.

But what they have done is add serious cost to businesses and attacked farmers while giving the striking Unions exactly what they want. That will not be easily forgotten especially as it reinforces some of the pre-conceptions of a Labour Government.

If they fail to deliver serious growth (which is far from certain in the current global economy) then they will be handing over a worse financial situation than they received and that will not end well for them.

Doomsters and gloomsters, we've been stagnant for over a decade, treading water at best. Austerity hasn't worked, the last government refused, for I assume ideological reasons but maybe just cowardice, to do the hard stuff, they borrowed to pay the bills not to plan ahead, they squandered the era of low interest rates and encouraged farmers to vote Brexit because they would cover what they were getting from the CAP.

Ffs Hector give it a rest son!

Are you just going through your list? We’ve had ‘fearmongering’ now we’ve got “doomsters and gloomsters”!

Remember you said “Reeves thinks the workers already bear their share so she wants to even the burden”!

And who’s going to bear the brunt of the NIC increase?

When you got all uptight and claimed Hunt wanted to force “sick and infirm” people into work, but yet you rolled over like a good Labour whimpering puppy and claimed Starmer was tackling “worklessness” when he suggested doing the same thing!

However the NIC increase is going to add £770 per employee for employees on the minimum wage, how can that help “worklessness” as employers may not increase staff levels they may look to cut them, it could affect pay rises and pensions contributions or they could pass on the extra cost to their customers!

Yup you were right Reeves wants to “share the burden”!

As we all know shiite rolls downhill! !

----------------------------------------------------------------------

The here and now is also relevant.

They have based their plans on growth but havent actually delivered anything to assist growth now. All their big spending and borrowing is strategic stuff, big infrastructure investment.

Growth is driven by putting more money in peoples pockets and what they have actually done for the short term is the opposite. And the impact of their plans in the short term is also expected to push inflation up.

Not only does that take from peoples spending power it also adds costs to everything the Govt does. Interest rates will stay high longer, we'll see higher pay awards demanded, interest on borrowing will stay high. This will add to the cost of Government, the cost of running a business and the cost of living.

Stagnant growth of the last +decade mirrors that of the global economy, hit by a succession of massive financial impacts. The last Govt were far from alone in being unable to buck that trend.

Achieving growth is more easily said than done and its hard to see what that they have done to get the economy moving now!

I appreciate you've been bewitched by populist liars and that you want instant, you want now, you want immediate but that's now how it works in the real world, you don't overturn 14 years of inept governance in 4 months.
