Most goals conceded have been on Walker’s side. I know Trent is bad defensively but you wonder if he would have been any worse.

Walker should be retired from the first team from now tbh.

Not cheerleading Reece James, as he sadly can't be fit for more than about two weeks at a time.

But the position should be passed from Walker to a younger player now.

Cucurella is a terrible defender but in possession he’s excellent. I think if he was at City he’d be regarded as one of the best FB’s in football.

Happy for Cucurella and for Palmer - both had very good tournaments.

Spain were undoubtedly the best team in the tournament - they won every single game. Amazing achievement. Deserved winners.

England have the best squad in Europe and possibly the world. As soon as they appoint a better manager they’ll have a good chance to win a tournament. I’m really hoping the FA are not going to try to extend Southgate’s contract.

He was heavily linked with City tbf. Bet he's delighted he ended up at Chelsea though.

Defo time to move on after the next World Cup even if we make it to the final, as you’ve got that 4 year period / building to the next one.

But just under 2 years for a mediocre manager like Potter to come in who wilts under pressure generally, and he’d be under immense pressure to win it even more than Southgate as Southgate got us so far, and we expect him to do better? Yeh no thanks

Feel like the next manager after Southgate is going to flop hard at the next tournament due to the weight of expectations and immense pressure, and I’d rather that flop be at the Euro’s than the World Cup

Southgate does look drained though. Needs to take a few weeks off before any decision, I respect it no matter what, hope he stays but I feel the type of guy he is he’ll probably call it quits, sadly

We need Klopp for England. Genuine winner and will get this England team playing the sort of expansive football it's begging to with all the attacking talent we have, but failed to actually use for the most part this tournament.

I don't think we have the best squad. We lack midfield quality. Rice is just so average. We need more midfielders who are good at receiving the ball on the half turn when under pressure, otherwise we will never control games.

We ain't winning shlt with any of those English managers lol. I'd rather keep Southgate if the other options are Howe and Potter. At least Southgate is savvy when it comes to international tournaments, he's played and managed in enough of them not be phased by it.

A sub had more impact at the tournament than Foden and Saka combined in 7 starts

Sums up why we never win fck all tbh. We tried to shoehorn a team with Foden, Bellingham and Kane either all getting in each other's way or having no chemistry at all. If not for a very kind draw I doubt we'd have got much further than the second round.
