Give Lampard the job.
I think it'll be Potter though
Nah none of those for me. I'd rather promote Lee Carsley from the U21's than go with any of those.
England won the Euro U21 Championship last year under Carsley.
He plays good football too.

Yes

Yup
I reckon the FA will offer the job to Eddie Howe. Not sure he’ll want it though.
I just discovered that the FA’s technical director is John McDermott, who spent years at Spurs. No wonder we never win anything if he’s making the decisions behind the scenes. He’ll probably appoint Poch.
Wasn't the Spain manager that just won the Euros promoted from the U21's ?

I just looked this up. The answer is yes, he was promoted from the U21s. Where he was European U21 champion. He was promoted there from U19s, where he was European U19 champion. I guess Spain promote success, whereas England promote nice blokes with waistcoats

So at Euro 24 in the 145 minutes that Palmer played for England we scored 5 goals. In the 500+ minutes that he didn't play we only scored 3 goals.
Well done Safegate

Criminal that Palmer didn't play more. The likes of Watkins and Gordon can feel very hard done by not playing a lot more than they did. Gordon only played about a minute even though he looked excellent before the tourno started.
Southgate had a brilliant squad to pick from but he just didn't use it properly. Had he done so we probably wouldn't have had to win so many games by the skin of our teeth like we did and we'd have had a better chance in the Final as well.
Instead the same underperforming, exhausted players that Southgate kept starting and overplaying also started the Final and simply weren't up to the task against a much fresher, much better managed Spain side.

Axel Disasi, Malo Gusto and Wesley Fofana have UNFOLLOWED Enzo Fernandez on Instagram following the racist chant he sang with his Argentinean teammates about the French national team.
I know I commented repeatedly that a fundamental problem with this club was how stupid everyone involved in it is. They showed it time and time again.
But this one takes the cake.
How can I support a bunch of morons.
And that’s without even getting into the fact that livestreaming yourself doing a racist chant is not only stupid, but immoral and detestable.
Not really kept up to date with it but can you explain how it’s racist? Twitter seems a cesspool and I can’t find what was actually said
The chant was about how a bunch of French players are black. And so they’re more African than French.
Unsurprisingly, the many French black players at Chelsea weren’t impressed.
Listen, spread the word, they play in France, but they are all from Angola, they are going to run well, they like to sleep with trans people, their mum is Nigerian, their dad is Cameroonian, but on the passport it says: French.”
I used to wonder why players were kneeling before matches because surely everyone already is aware of racism and that it shouldn’t be present in football. Seemed pointless.
But it turns out in 2024 you have PL players who still don’t realise it’s a bad idea to not only say racist stuff, but literally want to show it off to the world. Not even trying to hide it. So maybe there really is a lack of awareness that it’s a problematic thing.
I know Argentina doesn’t have a diverse population, so maybe it’s more acceptable there, but if you play in the PL how does this not cross your mind.
