Sunday's match, which Hungary won 1-0, was held up for nearly seven minutes in the second half as Varga received lengthy treatment.

Hungary captain Dominik Szoboszlai could be seen in tears on the pitch and, afterwards, criticised the response time of medical staff.

Uefa, however, said there was "no delay" in the time taken to treat Varga at Stuttgart Arena.

On Monday, Hungary boss Marco Rossi, his coaching staff and full-back Endre Botka visited Varga.

Wednesday was the hottest day of the year so far, the Met Office has said, after 30.3C was recorded at London's Heathrow Airport.

Met Office meteorologist Kathryn Chalk said that was the highest maximum temperature recorded this year.

Most of England is under yellow heat health alerts, which will remain in force in eight regions until 17:00 on Thursday.

A yellow alert - issued by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) - indicates that weather conditions could pose a risk to those who are particularly vulnerable.

The UKHSA says minor impacts are probable across the health and social care sector.

Ms Chalk added: "Yesterday we got to 30C and that was the first time we reached 30C since September 10 last year."

BBC Weather's Matt Taylor said it will be a humid evening but there will be a "marked change" in humidity levels over the next 24 hours and "things will turn much fresher".

Thousands of ticket holders have begun filtering into the Glastonbury festival site, which is set to benefit from a sunny week with temperatures forecast to hit 27C on Wednesday before cooling down for the rest of the week.

Britain's Emma Raducanu saved a match point on her way to knocking out world number five Jessica Pegula to reach the quarter-finals at Eastbourne.

The 21-year-old wildcard had never won against a top 10 opponent before.

She rallied from a set down against Pegula and saved a match point in the second set tie-break before battling to a remarkable 4-6 7-6 (8-6) 7-5 victory.

"I'm pretty drained right now," said Raducanu.

"I want to say thanks to everyone for getting me through some really difficult moments in that match."

Raducanu's win continued an impressive day for British women's tennis on the south coast as Katie Boulter moved past former French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko with a confident 6-4 7-5 victory.

Harriet Dart also booked her place in the last eight, beating Sofia Kenin, a former Australian Open champion, 6-3 6-7 (3-7) 6-0.

It is the first time since 1978 there have been three British women in the quarter-finals at Eastbourne.

Ryan Moloney, the actor who has played Jarrod “Toadfish” Rebecchi on Neighbours for nearly 30 years, is leaving the long-running Australian soap.

Moloney first joined Neighbours in 1994 aged 15, appearing as a one-off character named Cyborg. The following year he returned to play Toadfish, the brother of established character Kevin ‘Stonefish’ Rebecchi. Toadfish – or Toadie – was intended to be a one-scene role, but Moloney was called back and became so popular he was eventually made a permanent cast member in 1996.

Moloney remained with the show until it ended after 37 years in 2022, and returned when it was surprisingly rebooted by Amazon in 2023.

While the soap is famed for both dramatic deaths and reality-defying returns, both Moloney and Neighbours executive producer Jason Herbison implied Toadie may avoid a tragic end – unlike many of Toadie’s wives.

On Thursday, Moloney announced he would be leaving the role and starting work as a director on the show. “I can’t tell you what is happening to the character – maybe I could be the next Jim Robinson. Or maybe I’ll be the next Harold Bishop and keep popping back over the years,” he said.

“And although I won’t be bringing you our fantastic storylines from in front of the camera, I will be bringing them to you from the other side, behind the camera. I’ve just started director training and have just finished filming my first episode as director – so I really hope that you enjoy that.”

“Thank you all for the love that you have shown me and Toadie over the years. Three decades, in fact. I’ll miss you, I’ll miss him, and I’ll miss Erinsborough … but whatever you do, make sure you don’t miss what’s going to happen on Ramsay Street.”

Herbison called Moloney “Ramsay Street royalty” and said he was “ thrilled to support his directing ambitions”.

“The street won’t be the same without seeing him every week, however there’s every chance he will pop back in the future,” he said.

Speaking to the Guardian last year, Moloney said he had second thoughts about returning when the show was rebooted by Amazon, and spent the hiatus training in civil construction so he could build a farm.

“I have spent more of my life on Neighbours than off it,” he said. “It’s an interesting dynamic, to go from being famous to being nothing. I did think twice. But when the producer is sitting there in front of you, you go, ‘Well, hang on a second. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity – for an iconic show to wrap up, then get a rebirth as well.’”

England's defence of the T20 World Cup is over after they slumped to a 68-run thrashing by a superb India in the semi-final in Guyana.

Set 172 on a difficult pitch to make Saturday's final, England's batters folded and were dismissed for 103 in 16.4 overs.

Captain Jos Buttler gave them a solid start with 23 but his wicket was the first of four for 20 runs.

Phil Salt fell for five, Jonny Bairstow a three-ball duck and Moeen Ali eight from 10 balls.

When the superb Kuldeep Yadav, who took 3-19, bowled Harry Brook for 25 England were 68-6 and the game done, although there was still time for two dismal run-outs.

Buttler's side were also guilty of allowing India to get to a score above par, although that was largely down to the excellence of Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav.

They overcame a slow surface that also kept low in a fine partnership of 73 from 50 balls that took India to 171-7 - Rohit hitting 57 and Suryakumar 47.

India, who have not won a World Cup for 13 years, will play first-time finalists South Africa - a meeting of the tournament's two unbeaten sides.

England will fly home on Friday and are next in action in a three-match Test series against West Indies, starting on 10 July.

England are still considered one of the top teams but everyone in Italy is now saying 'they don't perform, they don't look like a team, there is no dynamics on the pitch - players stand and wait for the ball, they don't play as a team, even the stars are not performing'.

Marlon Brando Jr. (April 3, 1924 – July 1, 2004) was an American actor and activist. Widely considered one of the greatest and most influential actors of all time, he received numerous accolades throughout his career, which spanned six decades, including two Academy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, one Cannes Film Festival Award, and three British Academy Film Awards. Brando is credited with being one of the first actors to bring the Stanislavski system of acting and method acting to mainstream audiences.

Brando fell under the influence of Stella Adler and Stanislavski's system in the 1940s. He began his career on stage, adeptly reading his characters and consistently anticipating where scenes flowed. He transitioned to film, initially gaining acclaim and his first Academy Award for Best Actor nomination for the role of Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire (1951). He received further praise and his first Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for his performance as Terry Malloy in On the Waterfront (1954), which remains a watershed moment in the history of Hollywood, and his work continues to be studied and interpreted. His portrayal of the rebellious motorcycle gang leader Johnny Strabler in The Wild One (1953) became an emblem of the era's generational gap.

The 1960s saw Brando's career take a commercial and critical downturn. He directed and starred in One-Eyed Jacks (1961), a commercial flop, after which he delivered a series of notable box-office failures, beginning with Mutiny on the Bounty (1962), which damaged his career. After ten years of underachieving and markedly diminished interest in his films, he starred as Vito Corleone in The Godfather (1972), which helped him win his second Academy Award and Golden Globe Award in a performance considered among the finest in the art form's history, based on extensive surveys of critics, directors and other actors. With this and his Oscar-nominated performance in Last Tango in Paris (1972), Brando reestablished himself in the ranks of top box-office stars.

After a hiatus in the early 1970s, Brando was generally content with being a highly paid character actor in supporting roles of varying quality such as Jor-El in Superman (1978), as Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now (1979) and as Adam Steiffel in The Formula (1980) before taking a nine-year break from film. The last two decades of Brando's life were marked with controversy, and his troubled private life received significant attention. He struggled with mood disorders and legal issues. Brando continues to be respected and held in high regard.
