Yeah, fair do's, but I certainly cannot see him going for less than say £15m and with Chelsea making statements about FFP they may play hardball a bit. Potentially a superb player though.
The situation is odd though. I'd say most people would say he is worth that much. Better than Benteke IMO.

They have a similar record of goas in the top flight, I dont really watch much of the other lad at Villa so couldn't really comment fully on his worth. Both on their day and be a handful to play against.....Has either hit 20 goals in a season yet?
But you have to question why Lukaku is not a regular at Chelsea IF he is that good, even if the manager doesn't like you.....goals win games
I don't think he's worth £20m.
Well Mourinho is well domcumented in saying he prefers the older player and he also has said that his squad is very young so maybe that has something to do with it???
Maybe Roman has insisted on Torres? Who knows.
The first loan to West Brom was understandable. No-one then knew that Torres would fail to score to that extent. The second seems odd to us but maybe my first paragraph explains it.
I still don't think Lakaku would go for anything less than £15m purely because I think he is worth it. I'll lean towards £20m tbh.
Your not very good at this are you.Possibly not when gauged against a few on here, but stll a step ahead of your good self.
Lukaku is easily worth £20m.
Only about 3 players have scored more Prem goals in the last couple of years and he is still only 20.
He has weaknesses to his game of course, as any kid does, but he is obviously one of the best young strikers in world football.
Who is better than him at 18-22?
Cannot say if he is realistically worth it but I can't believe Lukaku will go for less than £20m given that he will(hopefully), have had two seasons of proven goalscoring at this level at such a comparatively young age. I don't know if we have any chance of loaning him again next year but I sure as hell don't think we will be in the market to buy him due to the price I would expect him to go for.

I never assigned a value to him, just questioned why a player who is constantly sent out on loan is valued around £20m?
He has 2.5 years remaining and I dont see Jose going anywhere in that time. Look at the lack of communication between the two, Lukaku has even said he has not contacted him/they dont talk. I am not saying this is an indicator that he will be sold on the cheap / we will get him on the cheap or that he would even want to come back to us if a full transfer was made and accepted.
2 years to go in the summer and they (Chelsea) dont look likely to be offering him a new deal based on the Jose relationship and would Lukaku push for a new deal. He could keep heading out on loan and in just two years time negotiate a deal to move into europe for a big wage/signing on fee.
Just my thoughts on a situation where the player is in the driving seat, he would only be 22/23 at that time and not even near his prime

Then why is he out on loan if he is so good?
Chelsea will buy a top striker in the summer IMO, and will probably sell Lukaku.
Because Chelsea have one of the best squads in the world.
It's like Deloufeu being out on loan, it's not because Barca don't rate him, it's because he is not quite good enough for them.
Same with Chelsea and Lukaku. I don't agree with Chelsea, but Mourinho doesn't think he is old enough for them yet.
Just because he is not considered good enough for Chelsea doesn't mean he isn't worth £20m. That's a lame argument.
ANY striker in the Prem with a better than one goal in two games is top class.
Back on topic.
It seems logical to me a prospective employer, looking to sign a manager, would interview his first choice first.....his second choice second....etc.
Unless I am mistaken,Martinez was the first to be interviewed by JW .

I agree 100 % with your last post.
Pretty obvious really.
The Deulofeu analogy sums it up perfectly.

See my earlier point, you can only sell what wants to be sold football player wise! i would understand Chelsea buying a top striker in the summer....even this window, but some here have said he is one of the top young players in Europe right now......Scoring goals at another club when clelsea are struggling
I am not arguing with you...I am debating. I have never put a price on him, but in this thread he has gone from being valued between £20-30M to then going for no lower than £15M
Why such a big swing and the question remains.....why is he not being allowed to score goals at his parent club. Age is not a factor in my personal opinion. André Schürrle is prefered above lukaku, yet has played/scored a similar number of goals?
André Schürrle
16 games 3 goals
<topclasswithexperience>
André Schürrle = career games/goals
He is not the one in two striker I talked about on those stats.
Therefore he does not fit the criteria I used.
Schurrle isn't a centre-forward.
You are really just showing your own ignorance here.
Chelsea are not really struggling either.
In the title race, in the CL, in the FA Cup.
Hardly struggling.

So because he played a false 9 once it makes him a centre forward

No, he played up front....what is this false 9 nonsense?
Looking at the goal return from the other strikers at Chelsea they all must play the false 9 role too
