Weare, to be fair the first half of that quoted paragraph is the story that they're using. And the entire case is revolving around the fact that she can't remember.

It essentially boils down to - he admitted having séx with her. He says it was with consent, she can't remember (NOT she said no). If she can't remember saying yes or no, and the rest of the evidence points to her being up for it (not to mention the evidence suggesting she wasn't actually that drunk by 4-4:30am) then surely you cannot convict.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is it in a nutshell, the conviction seems to be on very flimsy ground and if he genuinelly believes he's innocent then he'd be crazy to express remorse.
His morals are pretty low but last time I checked that wasn't an offence.

One thing is for sure, he put himself in that situation and now he's paying the price , and no one is stopping him from working, no one wants him.. That's his problem to solve
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oldham and Sheffield wanted him, as did Malta. Fan and peer pressure eventually forced the 2 former clubs to back down. He isn't eligible to work abroad yet due to the conditions of his release.

It's not true to say nobody wants him, at least three clubs have expressed an interest in giving him a contract but the media hype surrounding the case is leading the sponsors to develop twitchy sphincters.

I agree he has served his time and has a right to get back on with his life and get a job but people have a right if they choose not to want to pay to see him play
---
Of course, they do have that right.
However, the amount of bangwagon jumping is cringeworthy. Especially from those that clearly haven't understood the case -from the likes of random ass bloggers making petitions to stop him playing, to the fecking leader of the labour party being equally misinformed.
Everyone in the public eye is using his case to follow the perceived public opinion in order to raise their own profile. His case has been blown out of all proportion.

Both fruits

In the same way that both cases involve séxual abuse - but they're still both completely different.

There is also significantly less (virtually none existent!) evidence in the Evans case, whereas there are a plethora of victims and witnesses in the Saville case.

Tell that to the women he raped
Perhaps if it was your sister you might think a little differently
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If it were my sister I would have na emotional investment and wouldn't be in the best position to judge whether or not I believed him to be guilty.
The same could be said the other way, imagine Ched was your brother and he has been potentially falsely imprisoned for a rape he didn't necessarily commit. She says she can't remember whether she did, or didn't give consent. That doesn't automatically translate to rape.
