I don't think we'll see it with Asian lads tbh just because they most that I see are playing cricket.

Well you can't be bothered to do your own research is more likely. I'm not getting upset at all.

I will say that the population has absolutely nothing to do with it but rather those in a qualified position to actually do the job.

How many foreign coaches are there? No more than 50 I'd bet.

That would still be 4% compared to 20%.

They are under represented and that's a fact.
--------------------------------------

I agree that those in a qualified position is more important than population - why is why I have been trying to get the full information, including foreign coaches.

You seem to have an issue with that for some reason. The number of 19 means nothing without proper content. I have just been trying to get to the bottom of that, but you seem happy enough to guess at the data.

No go zones? Fox News reporter?
----------------------

Try going to some areas Bradford mate. You get hounded off the streets. You can't walk around there and be/feel safe.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You can also go to places in Bradford where whites and muslims mix.
----------------

Of course. But there are still some areas that I would consider no-go zones for white people.

Are there any Chinese managers in England?

posted on 30/3/15

That's an extremely disingenuous statement Elvis.

People of a similar background tend to live nearer to each other all over the world not just in England. I think the reason for this being the case has more in it than 'choosing not to intergrate'. Its not something specific to England, its more of a worldwide observation.

Yes but similar would be said about black people 20 years ago. Once another generation or two come through and the Indian/Pakistani folk living in the UK are British born and bred, it should even out a bit more.

There are entire Asian football teams in and around Birmingham. I don't know if they were designed for that but anyway that's the case. They are crap, but that's mostly because their father figures preferred cricket or whatever.

We're about 20 years behind because of the whole racism thing in the latter part of the last century.

Of course, but it's only just starting to turn, with the first generation of people in the country who shouldn't be bound by the old 'blacks are inferior' mentality.

The number of black managers will certainly increase over time, but we're still dealing with the consequences of the shortsightedness of people in the 70s/80s

Foreign coaches are a moot point because even with them included there are still only 19 MBE coaches in the entire game. All bringing foreign coaches into the equation does is show that clubs would rather employ a foreigner over someone who is black.

There are not really any 'no go for whites' areas at all in Liverpool, Granby or otherwise.
There are however, up and down the country, no go areas for decent folk, which funnily enough, are predominantly inhabited by white people.

................

The Saxton Road in Abingdon springs to mind. If you drive down there at under twenty miles an hour, the chances are you won't have any wheels left on your car by the time you get to the end of it.

--------------------------

Foreign coaches are important because the number of jobs that they take up brings down the number of positions that can be held by UK white coaches. You have/had assumed that the remaining 503 jobs are held by white UK coaches and calculated that must mean 23% of those that are qualified hold a top job.

I am just trying to get more accurate figures. You were happy to work on what you guessed (50 foreign coaches). There was nothing disingenuous about it at all.

Very true, well, they are generally populated by all sorts if we're honest. None of whom should be considered very nice people.

Yeh, I'll sit and look through all the 552 coaching roles.

Silly me for thinking that a serious review of the issue would have taken such considerations into account.
